Episode begins with Shikhandini surrounded by fire, praying to the King of Yakshas to fulfil his promise. She is dejected since he doesn't answer his call and Shikhandini threatens him that she will end her life. She walks into a lit pyre,but before the fire can touch her, the Yaksha King comes and tells her he will do as she wishes.He says he will swap his gender with her...she will now be called Shikhandi. Shikhandini is pleased, but the Yaksha King reminds her that she can only be a man for one day, at sunset tomorrow she will change back into a woman.
Duryodhan, Dushasan, Karna and Shakuni discuss Bhishma. Karna tells them to be careful, as Shikhandini has Mahadev's blessing that she will be the cause of Bhishma's death. Duryodhan is not worried as long as Amba's soul resides in a woman's body.
The Pandavas, Draupadi and Krishna discuss their dwindling army, Bhishma's decision to only protect Kaurava soldiers and Shikhandini's tapasya. They realise that Shikhandini is their last hope, because if their soldiers are wiped out they will have to accept defeat. Shikhandini arrives in the form of Shikhandi - a man. Everyone is shocked at her appearance. Draupadi is upset on learning that after completing her revenge Shikhandini will leave this world. Shikhandi tells her not to be upset since this her sacrifice for a higher cause.
Shakuni tells Duryodhan that spies have brought the information that Shikhandini is now a man, and planning on killing Bhishma tomorrow. Shakuni tells Duryodhan to order Bhishma not to fight in tomorrow's war.
Duryodhan rides to where Bhishma is staying on the battlefield. He orders Bhishma not to fight, but Bhishma says he has waited a long time for Amba, and that Krishna has enlightened him on making his own decisions and not being bound by others. Bhishma refuses Duryodhan's orders and says he will give up his weapons forever, in tomorrow's war.
Krishna, Draupadi, Pandavas, Drupad and Dhrishtadyumn are having their evening meal in their camp. Yudishtira and Bhima are depressed thinking about Bhishma's death. Drupad reminds them that they knew it would come to this when they had decided on war. Dhrishtadyumn gets annoyed with them, since his sisters have sacficed so much and they have been battling for 9 days without achieving anything. Draupadi calms him down saying that the mind makes decions based on duty and dharma, but the heart does not understand all this. She asks Krishna what the solution is. Krishna says only Bhishma can give you an answer.
