Oh God...I was watching this just yesterday...

The song that followed completely befitted the scene - simply magical...

"Maa Ganga aashish de,
Aakar sut ke paas...
Aaj gira ho bhumi par,
Jyon koi aakash,
Jyon koi aakash...

Aaj dharashaayi hue,
Kurukul ke sartaj,
Unko abhivaadan kare,
Saara veer samaaj,
Saara veer samaaj...

Shwet aatma, shwet yug,
Shwet kesh ya vesh,
Kahaan dikhe iss lok mein,
Aisa veer vishesh,
Aisa veer vishesh...

Rakt sanaa har teer hai,
Ashru bhara har nain,
Roondha-roondha har kanth hai,
Roondha-roondha har ved
Roondha-roondha har ved...

Arjun ne chhooey charan,
Liye hriday mein ghaav,
Krishna hue karbadh ho,
Aisa punya prabhaav,
Aisa punya prabhaav..."

IMHO one of the most impactful scenes in BRC...both in terms of occasion and emotion.

Yes, Shinkandi...rather the sight of him was the reason Bhishm (who was fighting the battle until then) put down his weapons...that's when as planned by Madhav, Arjun shoots arrows at Bhishm till he fall down on the bed of arrows...eventually it was Bhishm who decided that he wanted to depart this world on Uttarayan..

Since you mentioned BRC's song. I'd like to state one song from that show that was incredible. It's called "He priyatame.." It describes the feelings of soldiers fellings before the kurukshetra war so perfectly
