Attacking women was always adharma. Age isn't considered in the battle field as all are foes there.

Not exactly - kids who were in their pre-teens or just entered their teens weren't combatants. That's how the Janemaya version has young Vrishaketu, and even outside that, Jayadrath had a kid son who didn't take part in the war.

Those who weren't combatants didn't get killed.

Now, in the show, I'd like to know why Shikhi (or, should I say, Shikhandi) won't be re-appointed senapati after the sex change...

Yudi decided (or agreed) that women cannot participate in the war - that's one thing. So, Shikhi got kicked off from the senapati post and from the war itself...

But, Shikhandi is NOT a woman, and in ⭐️B, Shikhi will become a man (Shikhandi) specifically for downing Bhishma.
So, in ⭐️B, what is to stop him from becoming senapati (once more) from Day 10 onwards?

It's not like Shikhandi gets killed on Day 11 or something...

You're talking about just ⭐️B, right? Well, Starjuna knows!

B'cos in the real epic, Shikhandi was one of the seven commanders of the Pandava akshaunis.

Shweta..! Someone who welcomed this orphaned child, that very Bheeshma killed him...wrath of time! 😒

Bheeshma welcomed Sveta? Please tell me this story. Besides, wasn't Sveta the biological son of Virata, & brother #2 of Sankha, Uttar & Uttara?

Even BRC did a horrible job in representing Bheeshma's death: they made it look like it was the memory of Amba, & the desire to give her her revenge, which caused Bheeshma to lay down his weapons.

But it was not the fact that Shikhandi was Amba in her previous birth that stopped Bheeshma; it was the fact that she was originally born Shikhandini in that very birth that caused him to balk @ attacking her. ⭐️B has done a better job than BRC in showing the Shikhandini aspect of Shikhandi's birth, but they botched it totally by not turning her into a man much earlier. In fact, her gender change should have happened even b4 the birth of Dhrishtadyumna, and she should not have been the mother figure to Draupadi in the absence of Mrs Drupada.

I really hope Ratan ain't available, so that Bheeshma gets flashbacks of Shikhandini, rather than Amba, when Shikhandi confronts him.

Who will play Shikhandi? I wish Shikha aunty doesn't come back with a moustache. 😆

I wonder the same. WIll Shikha herself be playing Shikhandi, or will they select a male actor for this? Hope the latter.

I would be surprised if either of them surface in this war. In the epic, Satyaki was the #3 warrior on the Pandava side after Bhima & Arjun, but not just this serial, but every serial has forgotten him.

If it hadn't been for Satyaki, the Pandavas could have well lost the war.

Bhurshravas - he was a pretty important member of the Hastinapur court - more than even Shakuni or Karna. He was a cousin of Dhritarashtra, & his grandfather - Bahlika was Santanu's brother. They were more a part of the Kuru family than either Shakuni or Karna

He'd make a great Shikhandi!!! Shikhandi is a better role for him than even Shalya, who has to be the ugliest character in ⭐️B: how is Nakul related to him? 😆

You are thinking of Babruvahana. Chitrangada's son, not Uloopi's

so i really miss "ghatotkagh"

and another story is there "abhimanyu" was killed by 7 worrier along with dushashan son and later dushashan son was killed by "dropadi and sahdev son" so i am little bit confusion that it will be shown or not in mahabharat because it is true taht 5 sons of panchali was strong worrier because they fight for18 days.

Watcher described Abhimanyu's death rather accurately in the other thread, which I will come to in a bit

Latter did happen, but the former was a BRC invention. There was no conference b/w Duryodhan, Ashwatthama & Karna. In fact, day 17 was when Dushashan, then Vrishasena & then Karna got killed. Before Dushashan, a number of Kaurava warriors, including Karna's son Prasena, were killed, while Yudisthir was defeated and sent back to his camp by Karna, which caused him to be humiliated and almost get into a fight w/ Arjun

Am not sure which one was BRC invention. But the below did happen before Arjun and Karna fought on the 17th day.

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08088.htm

Then Drona's son, catching hold of Duryodhana's hand, and adopting a soothing tone, addressed thy son, saying, "Be gratified, O Duryodhana! Make peace with the Pandavas. There is no need for quarrel. Fie on war! The preceptor, conversant with the mightiest of weapons and like unto Brahma itself, hath been slain. Other bulls among men, headed by Bhishma, have also been slain. As regards myself, I am unslayable, as also my maternal uncle. Rule the kingdom for ever, (sharing it) with the sons of Pandu. Dissuaded by me, Dhananjaya will abstain. Janardana also doth not desire hostilities. Yudhishthira is always engaged in the good of all creatures. Vrikodara is obedient to him. So also are the twins. Peace being made between thee and the Parthas, all creatures will be benefited, through, as it would seem, thy desire. Let the kings that are still alive go back to their homes. Let the troops abstain from hostilities. If thou dost not listen to my words, O king, struck by foes in battle, thou wilt have to burn with grief. Thou hast beheld, as well as the universe, what has been achieved by the single-handed Arjuna decked with diadem and garlands. The slayer of Vala himself could not achieve its like, nor the Destroyer, nor Prachetas, nor the illustrious king of the Yakshas. Dhananjaya, as regards his merits, is even much greater than that. He will never transgress whatever I say unto him. He will always follow thee. Be thou gratified, O king, for the benefit of the universe. Thou always honourest me greatly. I, too, bear a great friendship for thee. It is for this that I say so unto thee. I shall dissuade Karna also, provided thou art inclined to peace. Discerning persons say that there are four kinds of friends, viz., those that are naturally so, those that are made so by conciliation, those that become so through wealth, and lastly those brought under subjection by the exercise of power. All these elements are owned by thee with regard to the sons of Pandu. The Pandavas, O hero, are naturally thy friends. Obtain them again as friends for certain by conciliation. If upon thyself being gratified, they agree to become friends, do thou, O king of kings, act in that way."
