As for the epic - not every Daddy is like Hawt Dev - once Krishna got him to back off from turning his son to crisp... he was the best father. Rest were pathetic... My daddy ranking is as follows:
1. Hawt D - I don't have to say Y
2. Dharam D despite the kill or revive session
3. Vasudev - quite the trek to make on a rainy night
4. Drona - devoted daddy who got sonny a kingdom
5. Surya - gave son the indestructible KK
6. Pandu - seemed descent and got milk!.
7. Pandav - farmed out the child rearing, but were ok
8. Dhrit - yes the kids were psychos but at least he was there
9. Vayu, Aswins - completely MIA

What about Drupad and Adirath007. 007 deserves some spot. Not all daddies are secret spy agents

EDIT: Oooh we are talking about the epic. doh!

On a side note: Got so bored with the Shikandini - Bhishma scene that I decided to watch something that would be more interesting ... The Simpsons!!!!!😆

Shyam - Drupad can be worst daddy... he asked for son to kill his BFF what a horrible reason to ask for a child and by so doing ignored/undermined Shikandini

Adirath 007 is totally fictional...so can't be sure where he would rank in epic terms... in StarBharat terms he is better than Surya :P

Anjana.. Sorry.. but ranking looked like ⭐️fathers not epic fathers.. Pandu getting milk, Drona getting kingdom for son, Drupad undermining Sikhandini?

Epic Pandu didn't get milk...but, he was there teaching them his values at least the first few till he gave him into his base desires😆...I was joking about the milk - it was more fruits nuts and watever in the jungle. Epic Drona did score his kid a kingdom or at least 1/2 of it. As for Drupad he asked for a son that could kill Drona - that is undermining of Shikandini no matter how you slice it.

Nope.. Epic Drona became the king.. dint make Ashwi one.. Drupad asked for one child destined to kill Bheeshma and one destined to kill Drona.. so thats undermining both or none.. or may be himself coz he knew what kinda good warriors he could procreate unless they are destined to shoot down the targets 😆 I agree he was a bad dad for seeing them as his tools but the Sikhandini part makes it look you speaking of starbharat..

Drishtadyumn - even the name sounds hot😳. Was the epic dude married?

Pap Drupad aint too bad either, if you can put up with the decibel level😆

Wait I thought Drona spent most of his time in HP in epic? So I have always thought it was Ashwatama, who ran the kingdom😕 Then there is the fact it all started because he wanted to get actual milk for Ashwatama. Lastly, letting himself be killed in false grief for sonny makes him a good dad too.

You are missing my point about Shikandini - its asking for a son to kill Drona for me is undermining of his daughter. Its the "son" part that in my opinion makes him a bad dad. Daughter was not good enough.

Agree Shantanu and Yayati were pretty lousy daddies too... bottom of the list. Let's not forget Shantanu let 7 sons die before Bhisma and Yayati disinherited Yadu as well as robbing Puru of youth
