i suppose he was pissed off she refused himm...probably he too was smitten by her beauty and to worsen thing arjun got her...and she married all 5brothers. ego pe ban aaya...how many times do we see men target a women justfortheir ego...same case here. i read somewhere though karan says all shit to her at end of vastraharan he realizes his mistake since lord himself protected her her chastity protected her so he knew then he made a mistake and praises her guts that instead of wishing for duryodhan's doom she instead put aside her humiliation and freed her husbands. in fact its said that when keechak's relatives kidnap her its karan who saves her with bheem or arjun,also in forest when in exile vasuki tries to rape her even then its karan who saves her and she too apolozies to him for hurting his sentiments in swayamvar and regrets not marrying him as he had all the qualities of all her 5 husbands(i think she mentions it krishna when in exile). as if she had married him she wouldn't havefaced all the trauma she had faced. but the thing was she wouldn't have been married to karan as karan would have given her to duri probably thts y she refused him in the first place.

@ Joja, Yes he did...I recently watched the old Mahabharat cheerharan scene and Karna did call her Vai*** and it was Karna who mocked Draupadi by asking her to sit on Dury's lap, he said when she has five then what's the problem for a 6th one. He also asked Dushasan to disrobe her along with Dury. I do not know if in original epic tale Karna said all this 😕
