But, what is the main significance of Dhritarashtra receiving the Gita updesh (from Sanjaya)? Granted, it might've not really made an impact on him, but he still received it...

How is it that a person who was completely "blind" to his son's misdeeds actually gets the Gita narrated to him (even if it is through a "secondary" source)?

I mean, if Dhritarashtra (of all people) can receive the Gita gyaan, then why not Bhishma or Drona or anybody else?

Everybody asks "Why Arjuna?"

But nobody seems to ask "How AND Why Dhritarashtra?"

Dritarashtra is only a representative. He represents the ignorant soul completely engulfed by Tamas. He is tamasic Guna personified.

There are four players in the BG incident. Krishna, as God, represents the highest state of spiritual evolvution that can be attained. Pure Sattva

Arjuna is the human soul which is aware of its imperfections and hankers for the divine knowledge. Such a soul is predominantly Sattvic in nature but has some elements of rajas and tamas. But because such a soul is receptive to the divine knowledge, the tamasic elements in such soul vanish when the divine knowledge is obtained. Most importantly, such a a soul is willing to practice what has been preached and thus, reaches enlightenment. That's why Arjuna's final words are "karishye vachanam tava".

Sanjaya predominantly rajasic in nature, with Sattvic elements too. Thus, he too gets to to hear the BG, directly from the Lord, but such a soul lacks the capability to put the knowledge in practice. Most of us fall under this category. That's why Sanjaya's final words are "Yatra yogeshwaro Krishno..." He doesn't say "I will do as the Lord has said"

Dhritarashtra represents the bottom most tamasic soul steeped in ignorance. He was offered a ray of hope when Vyasa offered him divine sight, but the soul is so covered in darkness that it cannot understand the significance of such a vardaan. There are so many such souls in the world today. EVen though the BG is within their reach, they lack even the basic spiritual development to understand it

OK this just occured to me.
Wouldn't Karna resemble Yudi, Bheema and Arjuna in looks? I mean, they had the same mom. Some genes have to be common.

Only foot?
I mean, out of all the genes that passed from mother to son, the dominant gene was "foot gene"?
And do gods have DNA?😕

Should be.. it is said mostly the sons resembled their fathers while their appearances are described..

ok I missed to mention.. all sons of Kunti and Madri were out of normal births.. they were not gifted in hands as 3-4 months old babies.. so chromosomes and DNAs of parents were a part of them..

Hm.. but it is written Suryadeva touched her navel and she became pregnant... SO DNA passed through his fingers? YOu know? Forget this, its becoming more and more confusing.
