Yeah, when Krishna met him, he did mention that he regretted insulting the Pandavas. There was some debate about whether that implicitly extended to Draupadi as well or not. While some say that he doesn't deserve any sympathy despite that regret. Oh, whatver!

I think that Karna was carried away in the heat of the moment. But as far as whether Draupadi technically qualified, I don't think we want to go into that here, since the interpersonal relations b/w Karna & Draupadi/Arjun/Krishna don't belong in the AT's for controversy reasons. Maybe it can be discussed in the dice game/vh thread.

Agree, there was a silence in the assembly when Karna got up and spoke. He did speak loudly today. I wished to see that and God fulfilled it but partially. Btw! What did he question to Yudhisthir and others? Shouldn't Dronacharya stop acting over smart? Karna is not Ashwathama.

His dialogue was (roughly) - "Aggar apni patni ko daav mein lagana Adharm hai, to itna bada adharm is sabah mein aap logo ne hone kaise diya", Drona and Bhishma were put in to question and they could not answer this question by Karna.

"The celebrated Pandu, tempted by the desire of having more children wished to speak again unto his wedded wife (for invoking some other god). So the term in question here is Swarini, which is what Kunti pretended not to be - if one doesn't count Surya. Had Kunti had more sons from other devas, she'd have been first a Swarini, and then a ____ (whatever a harlot is called).

So Kunti stopped @ 3, and then when Pandu wanted more from Madri, she refused, pissed that Madri had gotten twins, and fearing that Madri would have more sons than Kunti.

Poor Karna didn't even count in Kunti's equations.

karna raised the ques till now all critics and feminists have been asking! if it was adharma and yudi didnt have a right to stake his wife , why didnt they stop him? they dont deserve to be in the sabhs as elders! so very true!

monday draupadi would asks them the same question!
