@Sailuja Vrushali was able to see Karna's blindness and how Duryodhan was using him as a slave( As Portrayed in StaraBharat) .
In reality Duryodhan really considered Karna as his true friend. His caste was never a issue for him at all. I don't know why StarPlus keeps bringing that up!

article of karna and his wife about uruvi 😛

karna's Wife: The Outcast's Queen

Recently I chanced upon a new mythological novel titled Karna's Wife - The Outcast's Queen by debutant author, Kavita Kane. The book revolves around Uruvi, the second wife of Karna, a strong-willed princess and the primary anchor in Karna's highly turbulent life.

The story unfolds against the backdrop of Mahabharata. Uruvi, the only daughter of the King of Pukeya defies all societal norms and traditions to garland the person she's in love with - Karna, a near social outcast and a charioteer's son. Being the wife of Karna is not easy and Uruvi faces resentment from all the people who've ever loved her. That Karna has pledged his loyalties to the Kaurava prince Duryodhana doesn't help the situation.

Raised in absolute royalty and pampered throughout her life by a doting father, Uruvi finds herself facing many challenging situations, some that even shatter her faith in the man she loves the most. But having gone against family and society, she now has to live her choices for the sake of her unborn child. As horrific events leading up to the famous war of Kurukshetra begin to unravel, Uruvi braces herself for what is going to be her final destiny. Resigning to the fact that breaking her husband's resolve is not an option, she busies herself in her homely duties, tending to wounded soldiers and being Karna's strength for the few years she knows they will be together.

Karna's Wife - The Outcast's Queen is a beautifully written novel that brings out the character of Uruvi - the outcast's queen in a brilliant way. Although it is Uruvi's story, Karna comes out as the central character of the book. A righteous man, a valiant warrior, a loyal friend, a dedicated and loving husband, an ideal son and the unsung hero, the book gives another perspective to Mahabharatafrom Karna's viewpoint, who perishes in the end due to his ill fate.

The writing is simple and engaging with the right amount of detailing where needed. All in all, a good read for those who love mythology.

i think Karna was married to Vrushali and Supriya /Uruvi . he had2 wifes 😛

He had nine sons; Vrishasena, Vrishaketu, Chitrasena, Satyasena, Sushena, Shatrunjaya, Dvipata, Banasena and Prasena and all of these took part in the Kurukshetra war. Prasena was slain by Satyaki, Shatrunjaya, Vrishasena and Dvipata by Arjuna, Banasena by Bhima, Chitrasena, Satyasena and Sushena by Nakula. Vrishakethu was his only son who survived the war. Karna's eldest wife Vrushali went sati after Karna's death.

Karna's Wife: The Outcast's Queen book 2

Karna's Wife: The Outcast's Queen tells the extraordinary story of Karna, the unsung hero of the Mahabharata, through the eyes of his wife Uruvi, bringing his story to the reader from a unique perspective.

An accomplished Kshatriya princess who falls in love with and dares to choose the sutaputra over Arjun, Uruvi must come to terms with the social implications of her marriage and learn to use her love and intelligence to be accepted by Karna and his family. Though she becomes his mainstay, counselling and guiding him, his blind allegiance to Duryodhana is beyond her power to change.

The story of Uruvi and Karna unfolds against the backdrop of the struggle between the Pandavas and the Kauravas. As events build up leading to the great war of the Mahabharata, Uruvi is a witness to the twists and turns of Karna's fate; and how it is inextricably linked to divine design.

This book is about Karna through the eyes of his wife Uruvi. Uruvi was the Kshatriya princess who chose Karna the Sootaputra' which was already an act of defiance. Though it was already known that it would be Arjuna her childhood mate whom she would choose. The moment she chooses Karna, there comes a veil between her and Hatinapur. Yet, she stands by Karna. She watches Karna's first wife and children and grows into the household.

The love story of Karna and Uruvi is used as a backdrop of the whole Mahabharata playing in the fore. Karna's loyalty to Duryadhana, Duryadhana's undying love for Karna, Karna's relationship with the Pandavas and Draupadi, and his birth shrouded with mystery: all these themes are explored in this book. Karna is a man trapped in a doomed destiny. He refuses to be Kuntiputra' and is comfortable being called Radheya' son of Radha his foster mother. He rises about his destiny and is known forever as Daata Karna.'

Kane takes us through Karna the friend, the husband and the tragic hero through Uruvi, who becomes his friend, counselor and even tries to warm him of Duryadhana and his brothers. Each character and incident is played very poignantly and each shade is grey, even Duryadhana with all his pride and flaws looks human and not the anti-hero. Karna also falls from grace when he was also a participant in the disrobing of Draupadi, for which Uruvi could not forgive him, even when Draupadi does.

Karna's wife' is a poignant saga of dreams and ambition, of human effort and destiny, jealousies and heroism and above all of human flaws. Kane is a flawless storyteller who has beautifully beaded an old story in a new string. When Karna lies in the battleground, the reader would want to sit next to him and weep a river. That is the power of storytelling Kane has used while telling the story of Karna from the perspective of an extremely lesser known character- his wife.

but after reading Karna's wife: The Outcasts's Queen - is a book which tells the story of Mahabharata, but from the viewpoint of Uruvi, with Karna as the main character. Uruvi is described in this novel as the second wife of Karna but I doubt that name can be seen anywhere in the Mahabharata. The deliberate misnomer in the title sets the tune perfectly for Uruvi's story.

Almost every character from the Mahabharata is mentioned at least once in this novel. It is indeed refreshing to reread the great epic again from the viewpoint of many of its lesser known characters
oima really confusing uruvi character was she came in Mahabharata.. i didn't heart bout theat..pls anyone tell me who is second wife surpriya or uruvi..?😕anyone hearing uruvi-karna love story?😛

Karna and Vrushali scenes were super touchy very well done Aham!❤️

Journey to alice in wonderland was terrible i was expecting to see a mystical place but got to see what i can see even in cartoon movies

Regarding Karna and Vrushali's conversation i still dont understand why they are getting separated just because he is a king.they are married they should be together and try to overcome their problems. And why doesn't vrushali want to stay with her husband whether it be a palace or a hut any place with your husband should be good.

But yes karna's dialogue at the end that i will come back to you after all sangharsh made me cry i think he will meet her again after truth is revealed and he has given his kavach and kundal
