And then do write a good review about Draupadis Stockholm syndrome.

@Anjana 🤣 Draupadi is cared for by the Pandavas, but they are not the ones for her, her true love she will only find after death.

Medha - I know the GREAT KARNA! AS IF!😆 As I read it am grateful for three things in SB:

1. They aren't showing any mythic Karna-Draupadi "failed" romance...Just BROMANCE!

2. There is no powerstruggle for control of the Pandavas between Panchali & Kunti.

3. Arjuna isn't resentful or in "hate" with Panchali;

Also I wanna know where this tale of Kunti sleeping at the Pandavas head and Draupadi at their foot comes from? Peter Brook's showed it and POI has a scene like it. Is this anywhere in the original?

Yes its more about facts and information on the real story rather than any characters or authors POVs so at times you feel bored if you really know everything about Mahabharata already, otherwise it can be an interesting read.

But this book Ajaya is getting on my nerves now! 😆

Peter Brook was not fantasizing thank god!!
That is actually from the first night after Swayamvara ... The night Draupadi comes in their hut, that is how they sleep, Draupadi just listens to them all night talking about this weapon and that.
boys!!😆

Almost everything about this book is unacceptable. Like here Dhuryodhana is completely saint like, and Pandavas are the one who bully him in to some kind of fight. Vidhura is looked down upon by Pandavas and Kunti. And here kripacharya is the one who tells Karna to go to parashuram to learn archery and also he teaches Karna how to behave like a Brahmin in front of Parashuram . And Drona, Kripa are swear words every now and then they don't even respect Bheeshma and his orders😕. This is where I have stopped reading but will continue later.

I don't think it would ever change my perception towards Kauravas or Pandavas because I know its purely fictional and there is hardly any truth in it. 😊

There exists a temple for Duryodhan in Kerala, that is a fact not a fiction. The rest of the book is fiction similar to his other book "Asura"
