On a different note, I hate the idea of serial producers forcing actors into shows whose genres they don't appreciate. Nothing against Pooja for not liking mythos - most people don't - but then, the producers should have respected that she's not interested in it and kept looking. The best actors are those who really believe in their roles - that's what contributes a good deal to their success. I won't name anybody to avoid any controversy, but I do think that it is essential.

All the actors who think this is a joke, or that their roles are funny really don't belong in this genre. But then, Swastik Productions has a cavalier attitude towards the story as a whole.

Yes that's true.. before getting into any role especially mythological.. one should like it and these producers should choose people who really like to do that kind of a role rather than insisting other actors who are not even interested in it and but acts as if they are doing the viewers a favor acting in it.

I'm wondering if even the real panchali was this arrogant n proud .. Success stays only with them who value it . Not with them who crack jokes and find their profession funny .. People don't respect others n things never get respect back in return . Ha , whatever admiration n respect I'd for her all vanished away like an air bubble .. Producers ran after her , as if India ran short of actresses . Even Amitabh Bachchan n Rajnikanth are so heart warming n down to earth individuals after ruling the roosts for decades ..

Completely disagree with most of u. I think she sounds more casual than arrogant, n I don't think she meant any disrespect to anyone or indicated dat the producers were running after her. Mythological shows have become popular suddenly. Even 2yrs ago, people were still obsessed with saas-bahu serials n considered mythological shows to be boring. However, the trend has changed in the last year. I guess, Pooja did not realize dat the project would be SO big. Attempts have been made by various people to make serials on the epics, who failed miserably, Ekta Kapoor being one of them. People still crack horrible jokes on her version of Mahabharat. So maybe, Pooja thought dat this was one such attempt. I guess she realized the scale of this serial, only when she came to the auditions finally. N clearly she was the last choice, as she was being called on the last day of the auditions, which she has mentioned clearly. Many actresses were considered before her like Sayantani Ghosh, Deblina Chatterjee, Yuvika, Swara Bhaskar, etc. So, it's not like the producers weren't looking enough. As long as she plays her part well, it doesn't matter how many jokes she knows about Draupadi.

I found her interview very very endearing & not one bit of arrogant . Anyway, that's my point of view . 😳
She's doing complete & absolute justice to her role , plus she's an absolute stunner , perfect for the role of Drau .
Media is like that...I'm sure Pooja must've told them in detail what preparations she took for playing the role ( which is obvious as she's playing the role with perfection ) , but they cut it all & printed only those parts of the interview which according to them seem enough spicy . 🤢
Well...I find her saying 'ki' in between English , very very cute . This girl is a cutie pie . 🤗

This interview wasn't really arrogant, but it seemed weird. What's there to joke about on Draupadi? She had one of the most difficult lives of many ladies in our mythos. 😕 The "pooka draupadi" joke seemed lame, but other than that, the rest of the interview is okay.
