RaQesh Vashishth Not Shaheer Sheikh ...was 1st chioce to play Arjun..!

I was offered the role of Arjun in Mahabharat
Raqesh has had his share of roles that he rejected and the shows that he feels he shouldn't have done, Raqesh said, "I regret doing Honge Juda na Hum with Aamna Sharif. It was a cliched show. It was a good script to start with, but then it just fell apart. I was offered the role of Arjun in Mahabharat, but I didn't see myself as Arjun. Also, I don't want to do a mythological show. I would rather play a modern version of Shiva with all the shades to his personality."

Tfs...manan plz change the title as its Shaheer n not Saheer...that time Shaheer was doing Navya...he was offered Arjun when Navya was about to go off air 😊

Ya Navya was closed in June,2012 & He had practiced for role of Arjun for more than 1 year

i think many actors must have been offered since Shaheer was doing Navya and wasnt he reluctant at first? even vin wanted to be arjuna.

yuppss almost 16 mnths it took for his comeback n meanwhile he declined all other offers as he wanted to b Arjun n star plus retained his contract too 😊

This project was under construction from last 5 years

Even Dhritrashtra was offered to Thakur Anup Singh before 2 years & Krishnato SRJ also before Starting of Mahadev ...But project was then at hold

So may be at that time They had approched RaQesh because Shaheer was busy with Navya

No manan no1 is offended :) u always post article n u posted this too...Swastik was willing to do Mahabharat since 2010 when even Shaheer wasn't on board for being Anant...surely many would have been offered and auditioned for Arjun...so chillax no1 mistook u here 😊

I still remember TC article of 31 January,2013 in which Shaheer's interview

He told that project was again at hold and chanel told him to take other project if he wish

But he centered his concentration on role of Arjun.He told that this was larger then life role & game changer role
