No bashes please...
vaishnavas(those who follow vishnu) apply, gandha and tilaka like this

and Shaivas(followers of Shiva) apply bhasma ) the way Lord shiva applys on forehead and body

either bhasma or the tilaka can be applied ...
but these Starbharat Pandavas, wear tilk on the forehead and wear bhasma on the body and arms.. it is creating confusion..
correct me if I am wrong...,or is it different tradition..?

that is also my question, by tilak on forhead they look vaishnava but by tripund marks on arms and body they look shaiva, but i think they follow shaivism because kunti worships shiva, but in the epic she was a vaishnava. ohh and another thing, aghoris also aply this kind of mark on their foreheads.

Generally, in mytho shows, members of the Suryavansh - Rama & his family, as well as Karna, show the sun on their forehead, while members of Chandravansh - Bheeshma, Yudisthir, Krishna, et al show a moon on their forehead to signify that.

In this case, the Pandavas are temporary Brahmins, so have put together something that makes little sense 😆

Me thinks that the cvs are just unaware of any such traditions.. I wonder how they missed on that in their 3 years of extensive research...

You are right! I just hate this! And this is not just with Starbharat. Even DKDM is almost always biased towards shaivites. Any scene that shows something going wrong will have a Vaishnavite in it... example: all the rishis who do wrong deeds are vaishnavites.
In Starbharat they have convoluted Draupadi's marriage story so much just so as to not show Lord Shiva being the cause for this else it might affect TRPs of DKDM.
