Yes krishna did ask for arjunas eternal affection as boon or maybe it was that krishnas affection for arjuna remain eternal.This reminded me of the story where vishnu asked indra for naras eternal company as a boon.

Philosophically what u are saying is correct. However, according to puranas, Nar and Narayana were great rishis who were present even during amrit manthan (adi parva). They reincarnated as Arjun and Krishna. (Hope I am not breaking any rules by answering)

Vishnu and narayan are the same.
Sage nara is generally called the supreme human while narayana is the supreme soul.After arjuns confontration with lord shiv, other gods, yam,varun etc come and they tell arjun that "you were nara in previous life,a god like us, an ancient god"

They were sons Dharma and Murti, daughter of Daksha.

Nara and Narayana were amshavatar of Lord Vishnu. Krishna is purnavatar of Vishnu. Hence Krishna was both incarnation of Rishi Narayana as well as avatar of Vishnu. AANd Arjun was incarnation of Nara

hope so nomore AT crashes henceforth rules are quite stricter this time...ok I asked in earlier pages that did lord Pashuram and Arjun have any encounter? Jeshta said no they neva met eva...do u have something else to say? 😕

dude don't u think its contradicting? U said he was supreme man...so y did gods said him that u r god like us? 😕 Or does it means as Shaheer says that Arjun was a man who was quite close to b considered as God? 😕
