When he congratulated him his happiness was so genuine it was infectious , I was so glad to see every one so happy n at peace at least after long time , even Pitamaha smiled ! 😃

Acha, can you tell me what happened to Karn's dynasty ?? He was survived by one son Vrishketu, right ?? So, what happened ?? He sat on the throne of Anga ??

So as per the spoilers its pretty clear why Draupadi will reject Karna

She sees Arjun in BRahmin form and recognizes he is Arjun and wants to marry him only hence when Karna will pick up the bow the only way she could have stopped him was reject him on the basis of cast which is what she will do

But that's all fiction, because she's supposed to see both of them during Swayambhar only, for the first time.

@Gargi:That is what i am saying that they are showing that Draupadi didnt beleive in the caste system and because she wanted to marry arjun she came up with the best excuse she could for rejecting Karna

which isnt the case in reality she did believe in the caste system hence rejected Karna not saying whether it was right or wrong but this is what happened.But Draupadi's motivation for rejecting Karna has been changed.In any case hoping for soem good karna scenes with his BG during this track

During those days believing in cast system ws pretty normal, because social hierarchy did exist very much at that time n it was the pillar n back bone of social rules n customs n all. We just can't judge these characters or their actions according to our nowadays new age's thinking process n morality n idea of right n wrong. It just won't apply to it.

Yes, Draupadi did completely believe in cast system.

I personally believe that it was very wrong of her n all her life she suffered for this grave mistake n prejudice of hers. But why not ?? She's a human being after all, n she's every right to do some wrongs just like any other human. As they say, to err is human. What I love about original MB is that evry character has it's good n bad sides , n that's what makes them connectible n relatable n acceptable n very much human.

Here the CVs are obsessed to white paint the characters, but by doing so they're actually destroying the beauty of them n NOT enhancing them.

@bamonforever Well put n i agree with everthing u said. as much as Draupadi was chaste, she was a human n like all humans bound by its conditions and one of these unfortunately was her discriminating via classfication, where one is regarded solely by their societal position and nothing more. Draupadi vision was constricted in this manner of speaking as she uttered those words; Vyasa doesn't pertain.to the tone in which she expressed this in front of all the royals assembled at her Syayamvar but whichever way one sees, Karna was left humiliated.

Yes , she gave Karna such a blow such a complete destroying utter public humiliation n that too at a place which is his weakest spot. It was definitely below the belt. She couldn't rise above prevalent social norms n customs , that's a very unfortunate . N Vyas's Mahabharat DID show us how she'd to pay for her misjudgement n prejudice by suffering in many ways all her life. One after another unfortunate things happened with her, could they've been avoidable had she not spoken out on that fateful day of swayamvar ?? Who knows who can tell... But, most probably , yes, most of them, could've been avoidable.

But it was simply not meant to be. Draupadi's purpose of being born was to destroy the Kuru clan, n for that to happen , Kurukshetra war needed to happen , n for that Draupadi's utter humiliation at the court ws needed too , n for that Draupadi needed to marry the five brothers n not their eldest 6th brother.

So, every thing was predestined.

N all these events carries some beautiful messages for us. That made us sit back n ponder.

But these CVs are incapable of understanding these messages , therefore they're going for fictional tracks as they fail to understand the beauty of the original events or that they're all part of chain , leading onto another set of even more important or simply next set of events , or the messages that lie in them.

Similarly, they fail to understand n appreciate the beauty of true grey characters , n therefore going for oversimplification of showing some as innocent angels n others demons by contrast.

This is not our Epic.
