Hey everyone,
I am Amrita. I have been a member of this forum for quite some time now n have made random posts then n now. But today I would like to share my thoughts about this forum(Please don't throw sandals at me after reading about my whining😉).
I have noticed that our forum is a bit inactive. I mean members do post but in this forum we only have appreciation threads and some topics like Music Thread, CV Bashing thread, Pictures Thread n some others. Apart from that we do lots of discussion about the plots and subplots n characters of Mahabharat, which I admit, I enjoy a lot. I enjoy participating in the character analysis threads. Anything apart from this, which is a little too bold is closed by the mods.(I hope my topic doesn't get closed too 😆)
But I wish our forum had been more active with ffs. Someone, a few months back ,made a post asking as to whether writing ffs is allowed for Mahabharat forum to which most people said that writing ffs might hurt the sentiments of others. But my question is why would sentiments be hurt?
I understand some people might be sensitive about Lord Krishna. So we don't have to write ffs on Him. But what about the other characters? There are some beautiful love stories in Mahabharat like that of Arjun and Draupadi,Arjun n Subhadra, the love triangle between them, etc. Why not explore them? I understand these are historical n mythological characters. But I visit the forum of another show based on historical characters regularly on India Forums. It is a show based on the love story between an emperor and his wife, n how they fall in love despite their difference in religion n culture, in those days. I no comparisons are not allowed n I'm sure by now most of u have guessed which show I'm talking about...But my point is, in that forum, members freely write ffs based on their imagination, despite the show being a historical one. Then why can't we do that? I have been a part of many forums on india forums. I have seen extraordinary writers in many of them. I am sure our forum too has many excellent writers who are capable of creating amazing stories on Mahabharat characters, if given a chance. FFs will draw members to the forums, and make it a more exciting place to be. Writers can write ffs without deviating from the main plot like the CVS 😆, so as not to hurt the sentiments of people who are sensitive about the characters. For example a romantic evening between Arjun n Draupadi or maybe SR of Arjun n Draupadi( Yes I am a big fan of this couple😳). I don't think short essays on topics such as this will bother anyone.
Although I'm not a writer myself, I do enjoy reading ffs in other forums.
So if there is anybody who wants to write an ff on a non-controversial topic like I mentioned above, I will give full support to that.👍🏼
