In Dwaparaayuga Vaayudeva ( God of Wind ) , took the form as Bheema,

He was a man of vast size, and had great strength. He was wrathful in temper, and given to abuse, a brave warrior, but a fierce and cruel foe, coarse in taste and manners, and a great feeder, so that he was called Vrikodara, 'wolf's belly.' Half of the food of the family was allotted to him, and the other half sufficed for his four brothers and their mother.

Often he was shown in with man with big fat belly not brain.

But in real he was like that.

He was wise and always stood for truth.

duryadan was always envied Bheema's strenth.

He bluntly offened Drupadi marrying all five.

But he can't help himself falling love with her.

he was second chancer after Yudishtir.

But when ever a matter realted to drupadi comes he took the first chance.

He went to get Sugandika to plese her.

He slayed 100 kauravas for humilation suffered by his wife.

He killed kichaka when Yudisther choose to remain silent.

He was madly love with her even though knowing she was in love with Arjuna.

Yet he tried to plese her.

His other wives Hidmba and valnthara

Was he partial to them ?

He shared a good realtionship with his first wife.

He adored gadolkacha and proud of him.

Arjuna was great warrier. Bheema to slayed many demons.

but infront of Arjun's glory he was second chancer.

but he was never jealous his younger brother.

he was jealous of arjun in only one matter

That was Panchali's love.

Then comes hastinapura Crown

Here too he was second chancer.

Yudi was eldest. but bhema to poccesed every qulity to become a king.

he was strong wise and stood by truth .

What else you need in a good king.

he fought for what is his.

whether for love or war.

And yet in his lifetime he ends up a second chancer in everything

I disagree.

He was dedicated to his older brother. Everything he did was for his wife and his brother. He achieved what his purpose was.

A question of him losing, or being a second chancer doesn't arise as he achieved everything he wanted to achieve.

well written post .. though I always thought his true love was always Hirimba .. in case of Draupadi he played the role of her best friend every time .. among pandavas he was only one who at least tried to protest during Draupadi's dishonor .. he in fact said he will burn those hands who bet Panchaali i.e. Yudhisthir but Arjun calm him down

I personally feel Dheem was better than his other bros .. still at the end of Kurukshtra we see him to follow unjustified means to kill Duryadhan what enraged Balaram so much so that he wanted to kill Bheem then n there ..

every thing for elder brothr and wife.
what abt himself
his personal agonies
his loses
where do bheem stand in mb
as loser or winner
if.winner what are his gains

Bheem is another of my fav character from the epic

the only one who had courage to go against yudhishtir when yudhishtir was being extremely unreasonable like during the keechak incident

I think all pandavas except Bheem loved each other more than they loved Draupadi that is why they always stood by each other more than they stood by Draupadi.Only Bheem loved Draupadi as much as he loved his brother's but i dont think he was ever insecurre or jealous of his brother's

Regarding MB war no one won anything everyone lost all pandavas may seem like winners but they all lost each and every one of them

Bheem is my favourite pandav 😳 If I would had been in draupadi's place I would had reciprocated his love rather than trying to get arjun's love..

ya that is true but love cant be forced.But i think she loved Bheem in her own way

i totally disagree one thing that draupadi's love was biased...she loved all her husbands equally though yudhishthir in the end told tht she loved arjuna more was his own thinking...it was tht only one instance tht is she was unhappy whn arjun came back to hastinapur with subhadra..bt she could hve been unhappy if any other pandava came back with a queen as other pandavas other wives were staying at their father Place...personally i think she loved and relied bheema more...

Well i kind of agree and disagree .The fact that Draupadi loved Arjun more is the reason why she goes to hell in the end.I mean in the end all Pandavas(except yudhishtir) and Draupadi are in hell becuase they have all made mistakes and this was Draupadi's mistake

But yes you are right in the epic we dont have any such incident in which Draupadi shows her biasness so its a highly debatable topic

But even if she loved Arjun more i dont see anything wrong in that.She is a human afterall she cant love everyone equally.I think she loved all pandavs but had a soft corner for Arjun since he is the one who won her.Dont really blame her for that
