Thnaks for the post OMGG is really creepy to knw abt aswhathama...and from the likes of it he has not yet reformed...he still dislike lord krishna and considers him as enemy? 😡

And I always thought ashwathama must have realised his sins by now...but who knows whether the above stories are real or not..

But now I think the lord almighty should forgive him and release him form his punishment...

lets pray all to our almighty to forgive ashwathama ..its been ages since he is suffering..

@bold ... same thought crossed my mind as well while reading it !!!
i guess lord vishnu will forgive when aswasthama will realize his grave mistakes !!!
there is still lot of time for kaliyuga to end and arrival of lord kalki !!!

ashwatthama's apearence stories are just like the big foot sighting stories of america, in the swaminarayan sect story it seems he is still dengerous, but in the story it seems he learnt his mistake, hmmm, interesting.

Same thought occured my mind, but then I thought:

Ashwatthama's liberation will come when Kalki arrives. Ashwatthama will possible gain Moksh from Kalki. The next 422,000 years will be tapasya for him to gain Moksh and burn off the sins from the battle of Kurukshetra.

Hi TheWatcher, Lord Swaminarayan is believed to be an avatar of Lord Krishna, hence Dharmadev and Bhaktimata (who are Ganshyam's (aka Swaminarayan's) parents) may have been referred to as Lord Krishna's parents.

Fascinating.. it would follow that Ashwatama is still on earth, yet does he exist in flesh? Or spirit? Do we take it literally? Can we even comprehend from our limited condition the idea of his existence amongst us.?.. It's such a complex idea to wrap my head around, as to how this man has lived over the stretch of Kali yug.. it really is one of the most intriguing aspect of Mahabharata and ongoing mysteries that has survived beyond the pages of Mahabharata legacy.
Indeed to think that a character from history is alive today walking the earth amongst us as we speak, in that idea we feel the visceral truth of the Mahabharata awaken, ever relevant to us as human.
It fills me.with wonder and fright both at once, for we always tend to see our history from a detached point of view otherwise.
