Guys, I wanted to say this for some time now that I have finally started liking the new Mahabharat😃. First few episodes were really dull and they had audaciously skipped some important vignettes & characters like that of Shantanu -Ganga love story and Ved Vyas.

Yes, it does take time to settle down but other than that there are few aspects which are new in terms of few revelations here.

Like here we are getting to see the emotional side of the characters be it Gandhari, Dhritarashtra, Kunti or even the villianous Shakuni. For example they first showed how Gandhari used to be afraid of darkness but at last she had fallen prey to the circumstances and had embraced it willingly. Kunti's story is even more interesting and her guilt and choice of groom in the Swayamvar has been well justified.

The older version was kind of mechanical or low on these emotional parameter. They just followed the story. Nevertheless the older one remains my all time favorite😳(please ignore my bad that I succumb to comapre these two shows again & again).

However we are yet to witness the new generation here except our dulara Krishna😳. The cast in the advertisement seems good except that I have my own reservations for the actress who is playing Drapaudi😲 and felt that the CVs could have done much better than this😔.

Yes, the show has gotten much better! The emotional value behind the stories gives us a totally different outlook on the characters than other versions of the epic. The show was a drag during the Shantanu-Satyavati & Amba episodes, but now it's really interesting.

I don't know about this

today they showed that Kunti met karn after her marriage with Pandu while she was going to her sasural. This is something they invented and inserted in the show. Nothing like this ever happened.

This type of twist and lie is a big put off. 🤢😡

No I am not liking this show but still watching it now and then

Well i have loved this show from episode 1 i dont know may be i love the epic so much i love any show about it.But yes what i like the most about this show is the in depth chracterization they are showing all characters get about 2 weeks to show their story, emotions and motivations which helps us understand and relate to charcters more. For example some people might feel that there was no reason to show that Gandhari was scared of darkness but the one week they spent on showing gandhari's fears, hopes and dreams made us relate to her character more and repsect her sacrifice even more.So yes the way they have explained the characters are very good helps us relate to these epic characters

It's been made on a colossal scale and the effort to recreate the history of Mahabharata is commendable. I agree Saubhaya, its the story that pulls me in above every thing else, its a story people like u n me r attach to and love.
I'm impressed by most of the acting so far esp. the likes of Gandhari, Shakuni, Bheeshma, Rajmata, Dhritarashtra, who respectively have really zoned well into their roles. Shakuni brings forth his own style away from the mold that was set up via the Br chopra Shakuni, Dhritarashtra arrogance is more pronounced, his bitter side takes the extreme such that all his fury consummates as flames erupt out of nowhere and although tending to the theatrical, a good imagery/analogy pointing out the origins of destruction, like a ever present existent entity, ominous like a shadow of things to come. Bheeshma is all grand and great, powerfully spoken, discreetly mimicking the image of Bheeshma as previously established by Mukesh Khanna but not too much that it abstracts from it. Naturally we will be comparing the 2 versions which cant be avoided even if one tried.
