OS: Game On

BOOM! POW! BANG! Go right. Go left. Duck. Take cover. Grab the shield. Use your hammer. Hold down the left and down arrow to fly. Hold down the right and up arrow to become invisible.

Madhubala Kundra finally had the house to herself for the first time in a long time. Her mother in law was away on a weeklong yatra; the kids were at summer camp and she gave the staff a week off since there was only her and the hubby at home. Now though she may have made a grave mistake as she was literally bored out of her mind. She regretted giving the entire staff the week off, at least there would be some noise in the house. Her superstar husband was "supposed" to be home this week while he was in between shooting schedules. Suddenly one of the scenes had to be reshot so he is booked up for the week. There is only so much reorganizing, cleaning, TV watching, web surfing and chatting with friends you can do in a day. Madhu was officially bored out of her mind. She refused to nap for a few hours even though the thought was all too tempting. She finished yet another one the girls' Disney movies. She wondered how those two could watch Frozen, over 100 times. The movie was great she admitted but how can anyone watch a single movie that many times. Then again, her son and her husband managed to play video games for hours on end without moving a muscle or needing food or water. As she aimlessly wandered around the entertainment room looking at how the shape of the room had changed from when she first saw it. Before it was clean and neat, very minimal dcor but now there were more sofas and kids' blankets and toys and games lying all over the room. The room no longer belonged to Rishabh but his kids. Madhu nearly tripped over one of Arjun's toys, as she picked it up she realized it was one of the gaming controller for XBOX. Out of curiosity she picked it up, queued up the game and begin to play. The first few rounds she lost pretty horrible but that gave her the chance to figure out what buttons did what on the controller. After playing for nearly 5 hours; Madhu has surpassed 3 levels with ease and beaten all of RK's top scores on the said levels. This became Madhu's new thing, this was her way of killing the boredom. One afternoon Madhu was hunkered down in the entertainment room when RK came back from his shoot early. RK watched her from a far as she whooped and threw her hands up in the air in excitement as she completed the second to the last level. His smile dropped instantly as he saw that she had over taken him, she was now the lead score holder.

"I didn't realize you were so good at these games, Biwi?" RK interrupted her celebration.

"Well, what can I say? I was left on my own. Thought I would have the week to spend with my darling husband all alone but he ditched me for his beloved work. So my boredom led me to this," Madhu pointed to the gaming controller as she scooted over for RK to sit.

"So you decided to break my records, huh? Didn't think girls could play video games," RK joked riling her up.

"If that's what you think, hubby. I challenge you to beat me on this last level. No cheating. Wanna bet?" Madhu asked offering her hand to shake on the deal.

RK took her offered hand.

"So what happens if you win?" RK asked picking up the other controller.

"If I win, you will spend all of your time with me till everyone comes back. And what do I have to do if you win?" Madhu asked schooling her face to kick his ass and win the final level to claim dominance.

"If I win you have to spend all of your time with me till everyone comes back. Now enough talking let's do this so I can kick your ass, Biwi." RK said winking at her.

"Whatever, Kundra. Be prepared to lose." Madhu wagged her eyebrows at him.
