Rishabh sank his tired limbs in the rental and looked out the window. An eerie feeling surrounded him as he turned a corner to Main Street. Something had been off for the last week, a strange presence that made the hairs on his neck stand up. He ignored his nerves and drove right down the downtown parking lot across his building. Life would go on whether he got this deal or not, whether he got stalked by his rivals or not. It must have been a business rival, he reasoned, trying to put a fear in his head. In this dog-eat-dog world, they would do anything to take him down. But he wasn't going down without a fight. With a renewed determination to win the deal, he jumped out of the car and dialed his security team. Keeping a herd of bodyguards around would deter 'em, whoever they were. But hell if he knew, stepping into the elevator was nothing short of a horror movie. He closed his eyes and focused his vision on the keypad. Pressing the top floor button took more effort than usual. He calmed his breathing and fell back against the hand railing. The lift made a hissing sound and started moving. Hung between high floors, it stopped. This was not good, so not good.
Rishabh felt his vision darken. He struggled to get his phone out of his coat pocket.
Thud!
A petite body landed in the space next to him.
"Hi", the flustered looking woman swept hair out of her face and held out her hand.
"What the f**k!" Rishabh just about shit in his pants. The number of crazies these days. Time to call security.
"Don't even think about it", she cooed in that sultry voice she possessed. "I have five minutes and I intend to make the most of them". Her hands crept to the sides of his face and she cupped his jaw.
"I have things that you want. Things that' will pull your company out of the rut that you found it in. Maybe you wouldn't even have to sell if everything goes alright. It is in your best interest to listen". She pressed a gentle nip to his neck and his world went black.
