If the promo of Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick's upcoming period drama managed to intrigue you, then here is something interesting we have to share about the show.

Zee TV's Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raja' is going to be a period drama set in the 1940s featuring all the paraphernalia to portray the lifestyle of the erstwhile rajas and the common folk. The story will revolve around Gayatri (Drashti Dhami) - the manglik daughter of the state's biggest moneylender - and the grief-stricken widower Rana Indravardhan Singh Deo (Siddhant Karnick) who belongs to the royal family of Ameerkot.

Circumstances will unite Rana and Gayatri into the bond of matrimony. But marriage will shakes-up Gayatri out of her slumber to make her realise that hers is not a fairy tale wedding.

What happens after that is a mystery. The plot summary looks interesting enough and we're sure the show will garner good opening main because Drashti is coming back on TV after quite a long haul.
