This is good news for Drashti Dhami-Vivian Dsena fans!!! Colors CEO Raj Nayak called Madhubala as one of their most important shows in terms of story and the ability to be different from what was being aired on rival channels. Here he added, "That over all I would rate the now recently ended Uttaran, Ballika Vadhu and Na Aana Is Des Laado as the most iconic shows to be aired on the channel. In the current time I feel that Udaan can really stand up to the above list. Having said that time slotting is very important as people consume different stuff at different times. Hence Udaan will not do well at 7 pm. This could be the reason that viewers like high drama shows Sasural Simar Ka as well. If elements like supernatural work, we will continue with it, why tinker with something good?"
He also was quite happy with the Bigg Boss which has just wrapped up," Halla Bol was a super success, it even surpassed the numbers of season 8. This success has given us one more property to the Bigg Boss brand, we can peg this extension differently in every season i.e., we can either have only old contestants or only winners. Farah Khan was a huge success as the host."
But over all season 8 TRP were not too great? "I don't think numbers were low, it did average except for a little dip in the middle. And one thing we have to accept that with growing competition although the absolute numbers of viewers will increase, you will definitely see a dip in GRP and TRP numbers. At one time we would have 20 TRP shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, today we will throw a huge party even if we touch just 5."
In closing Raj hoped that the new shows like Ashoka and Khatron Ke Khiladi will do well," I am confident that the latest season of the latter show will rock for we not only have got the casting (Sana Khan and Hussain Kuwajerwala) dead on but have even got a lot more variety in the stunts then before. We had started to make the above changes from last season onwards and we had got the best numbers till date I hope to do even better this time around."
