It's absolutely *not* correct that TV-pairings are not repeated.
Several TV-couples *have* been repeated, but usually after at least one (sometimes two or three) other serial and different pairings in between. It can take a year or 2-3 years. The only main factor is whether the pairing can be expected to be mass-appealing to majority-audience. We are fortunate that DVD had that - when the tracks were not backfiring, we got 3+ and even 4+ TRP. And those tracks were primarily romance, with family-drama only as very background to the focus on the couple.
I don't watch any serial if the pairing is not appealing to me, so I'll watch DVD's separate serials if I like the pairing and/or story.
But anyway, there's no reason to get dispirited about their getting paired again. In a matter of serials, a year is pretty much an average duration, and even 2-3 years is not a problem.
Hopefully, they won't have a problem pairing together in some series in future. More important, if and when they pair, we should hope more that there be no hindering ploys from whatever channel that may then be.
