Scene 3"Madhu!!" RK shouted from his room to call her.
"What is it?" She screamed from inside the washroom
"When are you planning to come out..? I would get late.." he shouted back.
"Even I am getting late.. Just wait a minute.." she said from inside.
"Thats what you have been saying since 10 minutes!" He exclaimed.
Madhu came out hurriedly. "Just 10 minutes and you are shouting as if hell broke down.."
"Come on..who takes so much time to get ready?!" He retorted back.
"Its been a month you stupid.. didnt you realize that I take that much time, that you need to ask who.." she said shrugging.
"Cant you speed up a little..?" He asked annoyed.
"You arent getting late now it seems.. its been 50 seconds since I vacated the washroom.." Madhu said as she turned to him.
RK suddenly realized that she was right and hurriedly went in.
"This man always has time to fight.." she said as she combed her hair.
RK hadn't felt like going to his house till now. He was angry at his parents. It was not that he wasn't happy being with Madhu but what had hurt him was that they hadn't considered his opinion. Madhu had gone to her house for a day after that and had also gone to RK's house to meet everyone. He had just dropped her at the door while he went to his friends. Radha had obviously understood that RK was still angry with them. Since a month Radha called them up daily to talk to RK but he didn't talk to her. Madhu had tried to make him understand but he was too stubborn to listen to anybody.
Now, they both had joined their work. RK had encouraged Madhu to continue whatever she was planning to do earlier and hence Madhu had gotten herself in a job too. Life was going too smooth for them as they had turned more of friends than a married couple, even though neither of them ever disregarded the marriage.
"Come on Madhu.. We will be late.." He shouted from his car.
Madhu hurriedly came out and they quickly sat in the car. She gave him the rolled parantha as he drove off.
"You know RK.. from today we will sleep early.." she said with full determination.
"Yeah and you decide that daily when we sit in the car" he said as he munched on the roll..
"But its not my fault you dont let me sleep.." she complained.
"I dont do anything.. Today. i wont disturb you.. lets see if you would sleep or not.." he challenged her. And Madhu gave him a fake robotic smile. "Lets see"
At night as they started to settle on the bed for night, Madhu quickly covered herself with blanket.
"I wont come near you babe.. Its you who would come to me.." RK said to her laughing seeing her cooping inside the blanket.
"Yeah yeah." She screamed from under the blanket.
After a good 10 minutes Madhu was still moving on the bed changing positions. She lowered her blanket a little and peeked to see what RK was doing. She sat up straight seeing him. "That's my favorite stage.. You can't play that alone.." she screamed at him.
RK who was busy playing 'call of duty' turned to her "Should I remind you.. You were sleeping.." he said to her smirking.
"I had been waiting for 5 days to reach this point.. I wont let you play this.. Give it to me.." she said reaching out for the remote of the PlayStation from his hand. "And take those headphones off.."
Within another 10 minutes, Madhu and RK were engrossed in the game.
"Madhu.. left!!!" He screamed at her.
"I am doing it.. I know.." she screamed back in irritation.
"what are you doing!! Use the other gun!" RK exclaimed panicking.
"No I will manage with this.." she said concentrating on the screen with narrowed eyes.
At 3 in the morning, Madhu looked at the clock and gasped.
"RK when will we sleep and when will we wake up.. lets get to bed.." she shook him as he played.
"Madhu.. I can't leave it midway.." he said with a frown as he still focused on the screen.
"Please... please baby.." Madhu said making cute faces.
"You know I am not seeing you.." RK said annoyed as her trick started taking effect on him.
"I know you are.." she said politely. "Rishu... please.."
"Fine..!" He said as he paused the game and kept the remote. He looked at her annoyed while she smiled at him cutely.
"You are a Darling.." she said hugging him while RK kept sitting straight still annoyed.
"Good night Madhu.." he said after they had laid down. "Good night RK" she said with her eyes closed as she slept peacefully.
