Drashti Dhami

Television's popular actor Drashti Dhami, who shot to fame with her lead role in Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junnon, is back to the small screen with her new show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.

The show, that will air on Zee TV, stars Siddhant Karnick and Drashi Dhami in lead roles. Anita Raj, Surekha Sikri, Akshay Anand, Pawan Mahendru and Darshan Zariwala will also be playing important roles in the show.

The story revolves around Gayatri (played by Drashti) who gets married into a royal family. The story is set in the 1940's in Ameerkot, where the Gayatri's father serves the royal family.

The prince (played by Siddhant Karnick) is still in love with his dead wife and doesn't love his second wife Gayatri. Anita Raj plays Rajmata for whom Gayatri's father works.

In the promo, Drashti is seen running into a palace following a kite. She then realises she is in a ballroom filled with royal guests.

Although the serial plot has nothing new, we can't wait to watch Drashti Dhami on screen after a long time.
