Episode 601 Discussion: 16th June 2014, Monday

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is
  1. It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter.
  2. We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
  3. It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
  4. And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for All posting reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Please read the pointers below for posting on EDT.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. This is anentertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. Neither is ranting or bashing actors or makers of the show. Please exercise judgment.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread.
  1. Page 1 - post only reviews (which can be one liners - if you wish.) Also, please don't clutter up page 1 with multiple posts - give others a chance to post their reviews.
  2. Many reviewers add an "ETA" to their original post, if they want to make an additional point soon after posting.
  3. Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more and the discussion becomes irrelevant to the topic on hand, please take your conversation with your buddies to chat clubs, pm mode etc.
  4. The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating /whining / complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
  5. When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.
  6. Regulate the font size and colors. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters, or multi-colored font for no special reason.
  7. Quoting Policy: refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. Pick out the parts that you like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, and multiple quoting makes it very hard to scroll though.
  8. Feel free to post links of other members posts which had been "delightful read" towards analysis of episodic event/s or character analysis.

I dun feel like writing anything , its of no use..since i know its gonna end in a few days, I am doing the formality...
the epi was not bad, as I expected it to be..raja's lawyer was smarter...i didnt expect that..jr madhu had nothing to say in her defence except jhoot jhoot, like bhai saying dhokha dhoka..at least tell the court why was she living with raja till date n not, file a divorce case or murder case against him for ak...yeah, she was abducted..but the day of rape, she happily came back frm pag phera..why??
its so sad that my fav serial will have a disastrous end..terrible!!! At least Dont misguide people with the court case bakwas..

An entertaining episode.I enjoyed . even more when JM was denigrated in the court...Call me regressive I admired Raja's arguments...Because the case they made is valid.( Most of the arguments were lifted from the forum). She did"nt go to police, court etc etc when needed...I expected. a lecture from Madhuji. and why she put up AK bakwas.. Thanks to our reactions No..I wonder what sort of woman Padhaji is! . No reactions for RM mansion, or how JM ended up marrying Raju manipulated by AK family? Shocking expression? At least a swoon?😆 No wonder JM is a specimen...too..
Whatever after a long time I wait for tomorrow's episode.. and want Raja to win by hook or crook...

PS. I didn't sympathize.with JM for a moment.. If this is what a feminist's reaction , what of an average viewer..i DON'T EXPECT HUSHED UP LOVE STORY after this torture...Please make Raja accept his mistake in forcing JM to stay with him (not molestation. I feel she deserves it for goading an uncouth fellow).Allow them to part ways. MB is not about convention.

The only right thing this series can hope to do - after 16 months of every variety of discord and disunity between the lead pairings in both couple characterizations - is a happy culmination to this idiotically senseless and ill-conceived track.
They could please not suddenly bring logic as hindrance in a pleasingly uncrusading culmination. Logic and even a vestige of sense has been completely absent in this track's start and duration.
Keeping the ending at all logical would just make this track as flop in start-duration-end as every consecutive track for more than a year.

Couldn't feel a whit of sympathy for either of our two leads, but could sympathize with every one of us viewers who have endured such a succession of predictably mass-unappealing tracks sure to get inadequate viewership each time.

The CVs seem to have consistently blundered on a very basic point.
The female lead gets the massive mostly conservative majority-audience's support because she never fights in her own defence.
The maximum exception is if harm to her caused great harm to a member of her sasuraal, and became her reason for starting the fight. If it happens later into the fight, serves no purpose.
If that's not the case, then the harder she fights and stands for (her own) rights, the more the series goes into petrifyingly inadequate viewership.
She receives mass-support for enduring anything against herself and speaking up or taking action only in someone else's defence. And when she wages a crusade, it is with almost her entire family and acquaintances against her, and her tormentedly still forging ahead.
Another point, her battle must be essential to protect a facet of her sasuraal's prestige - that if she didn't take the course she does, it would shame her sasuraal further. So her opting to cause her sasuraal upheaval needs to be to save them from worse embarrassment later.
*That* is the exact ironclad context that female leads get mass-support for standing in.

In the village, when JM decided to flee, it was for herself. Yes, she was given dialogue to say about it being to save other people's lives, but that was a transparent engineered dialogue. The only harm likely to come to anyone was in her escaping or trying to escape.
But that was inconvenient to acknowledge, and the CVs have a fond illusion that if they say something completely contradicted by the events in the story, mass-audience should conveniently get amnesia on those points and believe the character's declared dialogue.
The fact that mass-audience has shown no such malleable memory or empathy in this series for so long has been a fact to be forgotten in hope for every next track.

This time, JM is fighting for herself. If any other women benefit, it'll be as a distant and minuscule side-effect.
When the female lead gives a crusading speech, there are two criteria for it to be effective in getting mass-empathy - it *not* be in her own defence, and the character she is defending must have the support of the majority-audience.
If these two criteria are not both adhered to, the speech might as well be wrapped in a minute or two for any mass-support she might have had any chance of getting.

The CVs/channel seem to tailor the tracks like a shop stocked with things to the shopkeeper's tastes rather than what there will adequately enough customers for.
One might be imprudent in expecting a crore of people to everyday spend their entertainment-time in watching what they find disinteresting and/or distasteful to their sensibilities, simply for the benefit of someone they neither know nor care about. The serial's track needs rather more crores of viewers interestedly watching everyday to keep the track from closing.

Not really expecting a mass-acceptable non-crusading culmination tomorrow, but would be pleasant to see.
It would be the first time in a long time that a track's ending would not be a botch and a spectacle of yet another track closed from expecting many crores of viewers to change their years of unvaryingly consistent viewing preferences, just to suit the CVs tastes and make the track at least passable in success.

Whatever 'brilliant' social service they want to show (that provenly not enough crores of viewers have been interested in seeing), could they wrap it quickly in tomorrow's episode and let the couple go home? A suitably illogical ending to an excruciating senseless track.
This series has repeatedly proven for very many months that the CVs with the constraint of mass-unappealing course and mould can't manage a crusading track except in a way that staggeringly fails in viewership.
So please could they avoid that and let the couple go home? If they could change characterizations of the leads whenever and however they very recklessly and confoundingly saw fit, then they don't need to worry about doing the same thing yet again far more mass-acceptably.
Mass-audience is unlikely to appreciate a crusading culmination for a crusading track they didn't care about.

Just let the couple go home and carry on with senseless unsympathizable fighting there for a few days, then prove the husband was drugged, they were both victims.
It's anyway not likely to be even remotely a successful track with this selective-memory crusading-angle of presenting one of the victims as the culprit and the other victim as the lone victim of the atrocious and needlessly conceptualized matter.
The sheer varieties of drugs for variations on that abominable theme for both genders are sufficiently feared with the vaguest of knowledge that they make for a formidable defence and alibi.

The lead actors will carry that also through regardless of story, as they have so far.
Not expecting a pleasant watch, but at least something worth watching rather than assured of mass-audience skipping yet again for forcefed tracks and scenes.
Just a quick close on a track that has made no sense and clearly not been inspiring or watchworthy in viewership, and segueing into a next track that might perhaps have at least a chance of being mass-appealing. Please?

Throughly enjoyable and good episode. Only if the CVs had woken up earlier.

Lynch me if u want but I enjoyed JMs band bajoing in the court. Is it because I enjoy violation of female rights or the CVs have utterly failed in connecting the audience with JM?

The CVs forgot that naari shakti is not abt being a misguided missile. The original characteristics that make a woman that is love caring and compassion shud be kept intact

Neither I can't relate myself with the show nor with my friends views of feeling happy about JM's band bajaoing with Raja's lies.

This show is not my type of show anymore, filled with deceptions, raped and lies, hate, hate and more hates..

Raja's character irritates me so does Madhu's character.. I don't feel any sympathy for neither leads nor any sympathy for the dead!

Bhanu is the lead in my opinion, he is a villain so does Raja...
At least we expect negativity from Bhanu but Raja..
But it proves time and time that there is no protagonist in this show..

I can't find one character who brings some fresh air!

DVD was good in their antagonist roles.
Bhanu must be the one who sent goons to beat Bhittu Ji, so Raja will lose the case.

Truly, I want both of them go to jail... Raja for his actions, and Madhu for staying mum and tolerating AK's insult and also not telling the truth to police about how AK was killed...

There is no point by discussing the episode scene by scene.. it is clear, CVs are trying to get rid of the show...they are not loving their own creations any more..
