I am a recovering addict and weary of coming back to the forum. Been away from MEIEJ for last 3 months and then heard about VD's return. Out of curiosity I watched yesterday and today's episode. Without any knowledge about AK, JM or the story in all, these are just my musings. Sorry for straying away from strict review.
I don't know first thing about screenplay, episodic story or anything related to that, however I would have done that whole inhaler drama differently.
JM is at bus stop. Bus comes, she gets in. When she opens her bag to pay for her ticket, she finds Raju's inhaler. She is confused as to how it got in there. Morning's episode of Raju's asthma attack flashes in her mind and she panics. She yells for the bus to stop, jumps down and runs down the road towards the house. She breaks her stride when she finds Raju on the floor gasping for air. Her hair is sweaty, glasses askew, she is panting. She throws herself near Raju and thrusts the inhaler in his hand. He grabs it from her and she falls down on the floor, eyes closed in relief.
Now tell me, do you think TRP audience would have objected to this? Why all the singing and dancing and lack of any reflexes on JM's part? Not necessary at all. Keep it logical but achieve a greater impact in audience's mind. Save us from all those unwanted closeups.
If JM is still addressing AK as "Abhay Sir", I would say she deserves all that is happening to her. She is unfit to take care of Raju. Leave him with his "adopted papa" AK aur Mathura chalte bano. Who is Raju to her? no one. He is someone that she pities. Her reaction to Raju should be same as the stray that we see on the road who may be wet and shivering. We feel bad truely in our heart but most of us don't pick him up and bring him home.
If it were up to me, I would show JM taking care of Raju reluctantly doing bare minimum necessary while engaging her mind all the time in avenging the wrong that is done to her. Raju meanwhile would be shown gradually attached to JM but JM feels trapped and secretly hates him. Unknowingly she subjects Raju to the same cruelty as AK is doing and then uski aakal thikane aa jati hai. She repents and decides to leave for good. However this time it is hard. Unkowingly she has formed a bond with that innocent soul. She accepts her fate and decides to do everything to get Raju better without any "divine interventions".
IMO Raju needs to remain on the sideline, in her periphery vision right now and AK should be in bull's eye range for JM. However circumstances would lead to draw Raju in. AK would gradually go out of focus only till the time she manages to get Raju better so they can together hunt AK.
However, I guess TRP aunties like grey heroes better than grey heroines. Heroines have to bear the cross of having the mother Teresa personality. They can't do tandav or be Maa Durga avatar even for a little while.
I just remembered I said I am a "recovering" addict.😲😕
