I think the property AK didn't just go and occupy it free, he bought the property from the govt in an auction, that is what happens legally if the heirs do not come forward to claim their inheritance within the window allowed them, normally 1 year from the death of the deceased. Radha didn't claim the property in that timeframe window so it's forfeit to the govt. Abhay then purchased it from the govt right, so she would have no case to claim back the property legally I don't think, as her carer her grandma forfeited the property to the state.

we don't know how ak adopted rk... is it relation based (son, brother, father etc)? or simply governing a person??... ... we don't know
ak just said in last epi... he adopted rk legally. we don't know further details.

a person can adopt another person on charity basis/ or just for popularity / for tax benifit (this is the common reason) also. it need not to be always ' some relationship' as many people think

and it's mb (fictional story) we should not think too much logic.
