Part-17

RK came back to hospital and seeing him Madhu rushed to him and asked, "What have you done, Rishabh. Why you did this. What is the need to do that?" RK took her in his embrace and said, "I know what I did Madhu. Dont worry, I did this in order to relieve dadaji from his guilt." Madhu said, "This is all because of me. If I would have gone coolly and asked him, it would have been in other way and not this way, letting dadaji lay on hospital bed." RK said, "Calm down Madhu, nothing is in your fault. Trust me." and he hugged her. Just then Kuku came and said, "RK, dadaji needs to talk to you." and he went away. RK went into dadaji's room and said, "Now are you happy and free from your guilt?" Dadaji hold his hand and said, "Yes, Rishabh. I am free from my guilt and you are my son. The way you said that you will be Princess knight, I feel content with that. Now I can die happily." RK said, "Dadaji stop talking like that." Just then dadaji pulse rate were dropping and his heart pumping was slowing down, he was unable to speak but he said, "Rishabh, this is my last wish. Always take care of Princess and dont hold any grudges against your father. He is truly ashamed of what he did. Be with him how you use to be but he cant come to this country if you wish him or I wish him to come because it was his decision. He is my son, though I still dont forgive him but you need to behave with your father as you use to be." He took a pause and said, "Call Princess inside." He informed Kuku to call Madhu inside, when she came in, dadaji called her to come near him, he took her hand and put her hand in RK's and said, "Always be together even though any hurdle comes." He turned towards RK and said, "Always be her side and be her knight. This is my last wish." By saying this he left his last breath holding both Madhu's and RK's hand. RK was shocked seeing his dadaji pass away infront of his eyes and started crying. Madhu too shocked and bursted out crying.

The funeral preparations were done and all the big names came to attend as dadaji was respectable person. Everyone gave condolence to his soul and prayed to rest his soul in peace. Mohan Kundra was informed about his father's death but he blamed himself as all the things happened because of his selfish nature. RK tried to make him understand that he was guilt of his doings but Mohan said that he deserves this punishment. After the cremations, RK took dadaji's ash to mix it in the lake near the cremation ground after doing pooja related to that. Throughout the funeral process, RK didnt let his tears out and this was watched by Madhu and she can understand that he was crying to himself and not letting out his emotions. After the funeral, everyone went to their houses. At first RK said that he will go to his house but on Madhu's insisting, he went to Palace with her.

When they reached the Palace, RK went straight to his room and Madhu followed him to his room. When she entered his room, she saw that RK has hidden his face in his palms. She went near him and asked, "Rishu, please control yourself." With that RK couldnt hold himself, hugged her and cried his heart out. He said, "I lost the main pillar of my life, Madhu. I have been far from my father from my childhood but never missed him. Now without dadaji, its feels like I am orphan." Madhu rubbed her palm on his back, consoling him and said, "You are not orphan, Rishu. I am there for you and always be there with you." RK broke from the hug and looked at her then she said, "Whatever decision you take, I will be with you." She kissed on his forehead and then took him to his bed and made him lay down. She also sat on the other side of the bed near to him and ruffled his hair. RK moved from his side and laid his head on her lap and dozed into sleep. Madhu sat there and ruffled his hair as if giving him comfort.

Next few days, went normally where Madhu taking care of RK to coup up from the lose of dadaji and controling herself from not crying. After a week, RK became normal and was back to his work and Madhu was back to her work but they use to spent some alone time with each other. I between, Deepali tried to talk with RK but he avoided her and Madhu removed from her position and asked to give resignation. Kuku didnt say anything as he came to know that she was the person who said Madhu all those things. Deepali went back to her previous job, that is, Manager of the Palace Museum. But Madhu was not satisfied with this. She went to the Museum like visiting it and went near Deepali and said, "You are suspended from this job Ms. Deepali Bhatia." Deepali was shocked but asked, "You have already removed me from your personal secretary position, now why this." Madhu smirked and said, "This is because I dont like your work or shall I say I am kicking you out for your evil plans." Deepali didnt say anything, just lowered her head. Madhu said, "From now on you will not be seen any mile or inch near the Palace or any Palace related building. If I find you near any of it, then you know what I can do." Saying that she went away leaving a helpless Deepali.

1 month later...

"RK you are needed at London." said the Minister. RK was surprised and said, "But Sir, I was here needed with Princess as I am her advisor." Minister said, "RK, you said that Princess has taken over her businesses and she was doing well, so can be in your position but you are seriously needed at London. It may take months or a year but you need to be there and solve the issue with Ministers there and bring a more friendly alliances so that our country people get more jobs there and settle there as they are in America and other countries." With no other option, RK agreed to that.

Madhu was shocked with this new information but she wanted to go along with RK. RK said, "Madhu it was duty to that. I know you wanted to come with me but I cannot take you with me as it is really a serious matter. I cannot risk you and roaming with me where ever I go. People will get a new reason to balm us." Madhu said, "Then let us get married." RK sighed and said, "Baby, I know you want to come with me but understand I cannot get married to you at present. After I come from London and after I settle everything there, I will come back and I we will get married the way you always wanted." She agreed with him and nodded her head. RK kissed her on forehead and said, "I am gona miss." Madhu asked, "How much does it take?" RK said, "I dont know. It may take months or a whole year but I am sure that my love towards you will increase with each passing minute there." Madhu hugged him tightly and said, "I Love You, Rishu." RK said, "I Love You too, Madhu. You just take care of yourself and if you needed anything just call me and if I was not available, inform it to bittuji. He will tell me." She nodded and started getting emotional. Seeing this RK cupped her face and kissed her on her lips softly.
