Natasha, I'm also having mixed reaction for that same reason.😆
Solution - a season 2 maybe?🤔
Anyway, logic hasn't been part of this series for many months.🤢😆
And in another series, a lead opted out rather than continue beyond leap, so they arranged for an adopted child who would grow into a different face.
It didn't work out, and suddenly that *adopted* character was one day shown as being played by the previously departed lead.
Not even an explanation or a mention.
They just clean-slated the whole 'different face' part, and carried on.
It worked well enough.😕
If the leads are extremely popular with majority-audience as their characters and as a couple even despite any adverse storyline, then a minimal almost nonexistent track is also great.😳
If the lead couple is quickly mass-popular with majority-audience, then even with a boring story (so long as it avoids the few things predictably distasteful to majority-audience), the track becomes reassuringly sustainable (average, good or excellent viewership).😊
But if the lead couple isn't quickly accepted and popular with the majority-audience, then even the most interesting story won't help, because majority-audience needs to bee hooked into sitting for a track in adequate numbers to permit that track to be taken further.
If they don't get interested and tune in, then story-developments won't get seen by enough millions of Indian viewers on TV at primetime to be worthwhile.
2+ TRP is barely acceptable for a primetime high-budget series. And dips into the higher half of the 1+ range result in closed track, or severely further scrimped budget.
Anyway, would be equally glad/worried if this news turns out to be true or false.
Sort of hoping it's just a rumour, but would love to see DVD together on screen again.😕
