Why the exact same look?

I am a non indian from the U.S, and I have to say that indian cinema is the most repetitive nonsense. I find the girl very hot which is why i saw bits and pieces of the show.

Could anyone explain why it's important for lead girls to be dressed in these type of clothing? Are jeans and strong attitude towards life considered a taboo and unattractive in women? It seems the show is very popular and so people actually like seeing weak-willed women who don't have a spine.
