I have recently joined IF and would like to congratulate everyone for the awesome forum.I am not much of a tv buff but past one year been watching Madhubala,in fact I am sorry,if I sound naive about some of my remarks I am trying to catch the drift of the forum.
My take on the character of Riya,before that a few words on the character of Sultan,he was a handsome guy who was wasted due to a sketchy plot,maybe the cvs have their own constraints in a daily soap.Riya's character hasn't unfolded yet but I don't agree with many people as far as Vashnavi's acting of this particular character's concerned,people find her attractive or even sensuous which is ok but the reason she doesn't suit a bindaas character is becoz she's not very convincing to me (each to his own).To me,
even in her drunk scene too she's overacting and is quite artificial.
Wee bit on her character,on behest of RK or the need of RK she goes to RK mansion in a drunk state,this scene has to be taken with a pinch of salt.But
I could not understand the need for RIya to make a reference of "love" on the phone while talking to RK.As if she was fishing for an answer.
Secondly,in the restaurant, when RK keeps disconnecting her calls,she decides to walk up to him, now,this was in line of the character that's being build of her but the fact that she doesn't even "notice" Madhu prior to that ? A female in her drunk state figures out that RK's lying to "someone" but in her sober state innocently walks up to RK to thank him and demand an explanation why he was avoiding her and not even "notice" Madhu?!!!!.Nah !!!??
She has a motive,which is for the creatives to build but I'm not convinced of the subtleties required to play this character and Vaishnavi's not up to the mark,maybe she might do justice to her character, later,we can wait and watch,as Seema Mishra's an excellent actor,she makes all of us hate her.
Madhu has been behaving like a mop,she needs to get her life together,
I don't mean to offend anyone please.
