In case of Sultan he was supposed to be an antagonist but for whatever reasons CVs experimented with Sultan a lot and tossed his character like anything. Nothing worked out actually and yes his single stern expression every time and his sudden change of feelings for the leading lady all contributed. The loyal Rishbala fans hated the characters of Ballu, Trishna, Deepali at times even Padmini and Radhaji also but the actors were appreciated but its not the case with Sultan's character. In their case people hated their actions and intentions but the Sultans mere existence was unbearable to some of the fans for whatever reasons. I believe the reason is poorly written character and its no good for the actor. I must say i like AR but i love VD and DD ... and obviously i want my beloved couple to be safe.

I never tried to let him know that people hate him. I just posted my POV as a reply in a post as a part of discussion.

Just because a bunch of online fans hate him to the core doesn't mean he's not accepted by the viewers. 🥱 As for his being an antagonist, from the moment he entered the show he was NEVER an antagonist. Just because articles said it, doesn't mean it was correct. We know how wrong they've been other times. As for AR himself saying it, if you see it in context you see he is saying that he is antagonist to RK.

Please tell me how in the world, when in the show, Sultan was an ANTAGONIST. He was introduced with the bg, DEVA, DEVA! Some fine example of an antagonist.

The way he said that he came for his mother's bangle...it just made me laugh...
Why he is in acting business?
For him flying a kite will be a better thing to do!!!

As for sultan yes we hate the character with passion, sultan's char is two faces, double standard character... Thanks to CVs...

Just to clarify... I am die hard fan of VD and DD from their previous shows. I also like AR from his previous show although i didn't followed it much. I agree that we don't have to believe what articles say but that was the perception. I expected a "RK ka takkar villian" after ballu.(Its my expectation). Antagonist or not there is no consistency in his character. Sultan is most underdeveloped character, seemed illogical at times and CVs tried to create a love triangle which is not acceptable to a lot (Especially me...First I am not a big fan of love triangles and Second Sultan is coming in between my beloved couple). On the other hand RK is consistent with strong characterization( He is kameena right from the start. He is not like other ideal heroes of telly wood. I think we have enough of good boys. Again its my opinion).

Its not uncommon of fans demanding an actor's removal or replacement from the show. I really hope that only a bunch of online fans are hating him but the rest are accepting him, then good for him. I felt like people are hating him because of his character and that to not in an appreciating way.(Because of the news about him getting hate msgs and people calling him names. I dont know how much truth is there in that news again) Speaking for myself and on behalf of a little bunch of friends, we would have liked him as a pure villain rather than illogical unwanted character.

@bold blue, no it's not uncommon. My replies were more in regards to something else. It doesn't necessarily include you, but I did reply to your post because there's no reason for him to quit just because people send him hate messages; nor is it detrimental for him. A bunch of online fans who think an actor should quit because they kick him around, shouldn't be catered to. He can shake it off and laugh at the impact he's having.

As for much of the rest, I disagree with many points, but I hardly want to go into it right now.
