Nahi he's never been strict at all ... never shouted or raised his voice at us , if he has to say something like read he just syas it normally ...

But mom sometime get angry 😆 she does shout at times

Yes i feel the same when it ends it feels odd but then we get used to it ...
I just wish I can keep reading the whole year through and never stops and that why no tv no music so we don't get distracted ...

Insha Allah Somi , I always say I will read tomz but then i don't ... I feel ashamed of myself saying something and not doing it but i will force myself to get up early morning and read Fajr ... so then i can get used to reading other prayers too ...
