According to me, he heard when she said tat she loves him. He is mad that Madhu told Gangu about the plan. He is not doubting her love.. He is pretty smart about stuff, but currently enraged. Once he cools down, he will think it through! And realize that Madhu loves him. And we know that he realized wat he did to her was wrong, but currently he is upset! Because his weakness is out in the open.

I don't think Madhu is wrong either! And then they love each other, ad ant live without each other. So the MU shouldn't be permanent.
