<div>Nimmi while your post is not actually intended towards legal technicality yet could not refrain from pointing out rank disregard of Indian legal system by TV and cinema both at their own sweet convenience. legally in India this marriage does hold any ground because a contractual marriage is void under Indian laws, unless is solemnized underIslamic regulations and the money given as consideration is "Meher". SO legally they do need to get married in some way or the other.😛
