Padmini sighed in relief as Sultan told her that he will speak to Madhu. He left the chawl but was noticed by a angry yet worried pair of eyes. It was Malik. He hid around the corner as Sultan descended the stairs to leave. Once he had left and Malik knew the coast was clear he went to the chawl room where Padmini was. She turned around looked at him in shock and anger
'Oh finally Mr Shamsher Malik your here...why now ? Your daughter is going to destroy herself today and you come back now' Padmini scoffed in sarcasm.

The following day RK broke Madhu heart at the Mandap. He knew what he was saying is a lie and he is breaking her heart but he had to save her. He also knew Sultan was watching. He appeared evil. When he dropped her to the chawl and insulted her. Sultan started to believe that RK didn't love Madhu and the media was right and those four slaps.
However during the outdoor shoot sultan wanted to double check and decided to play a nice guy game with Madhu. He picked her up when she fainted. He also adopted Aryan and kaka into his plan and Aryan was told what to say and when.
He then made Madhu become his friend. He also creates relations with Padmini. He just waited for RK to find out which he did on holi. He noticed on holi RK was obsessed and loved Madhu. He also found out when RK to Madhu back home.
RK figured out the only way to protect Madhu would be with him after the night she went missing. He knew Sultan suspected him and also knew what Sultan was up to.
