My interpretation of the scene. Madhu blindly trusted R.K the first time and was willing to surrender herself to him. R.K. took off her dupatta and threw it aside but did not take advantage of his position. This could signify his dishonouring her during the unwedding but he did not take his rights as her husband. His prompting her to open her eyes, could signify his goading her, through his actions, to have a good look at their relationship as reflected in the mirror. She sees that this time he has entered into the relationship with his eyes closed. He has shut out Sultan and other obstacles from their path.
The stripping of jewellery and clothes could signify that their relationship has gone beyond all external trappings of the world. They are no longer just husband and wife for the outside world. They have reached a point of intimacy in their marital relationship, where the husband holds the right to undress his wife but holds himself back from seeing her in her birth suit pending the final step which would legally concretise their relationship. Madhu is touched by his act of trust in her and respect for her honour.
After he changes her into her ordinary clothes, he asks her to close her eyes, showing that once they are in their own little world, he expects his trust to be rewarded by her trust in him. The inpending and interrupted kiss signifies their intended marriage and Sultan's call indicates the hurdle they will face from that front. R.K. bites back his anger and invites him to attend the wedding even as Sultan desperately tries to warn Madhu of the danger she faces from R.K. R.K.'s antenna will be up during the wedding as his was during Madhu's conversation with Sultan.
Maybe Sultan may corner Madhu alone on the wedding day and again warn her of going ahead with her revenge and maybe this time R.K. may hear their conversation. Will he proceed with the wedding, thereby showing his trust in Madhu or will it be like the interrupted kiss, unfinished for now? This can be answered only on May 31 or June 3.
