Chapter 98
HE watched as the man wobbled away pinching at his nose to stop the nose bleed that resulted from the punch in the face. Poor guy is not only going to wake up to a killer of a hangover but will also have to deal with the after math of his pawing.
HE turned to face her leaning sideways on the wall beside her. "You okay?" Madhu still looked startled, not expecting the sudden punch. "You punched him..."
"Yes I did..." HE smiled amused at the expressions on her face. "But..but... you.. I.."
"Are you having a stroke?" HE asked grinning goofily.
Madhu smiled sarcastically at him. "Funny... very funny."
HE was enjoying this way too much. "I don't understand. Why did you come back here?" Madhu asked trying to make sense of what happened.
"Because I felt a tingling tingled." HE answered grinning away.
"So what... your spiderman now?" Madhu asked crossly, not liking the fact that HE was teasing her.
"I go where the tingling takes me.. and now the tingling is taking over again." HE said seductively, as HE moved to stand in front of her, not touching her but close enough to feed off her body heat.
"Tingling... ohhh you mean..." Madhu said embarrassed that she didn't realize what he was actually saying earlier. Her face flushed a distinct red almost blood red as she realized that HE stood so near her that she could feel the heat and want radiating from him.
HE bent forward and she turned her face sideways. HE didn't press any further. HE smiled to himself and blew air behind her ear. HE felt her shudder and press forward slightly.
HE had found her kryptonite, her pleasure spot. She curved her fingers into a fist trying not to go there. But found her body betraying her. She leaned forward just a smidge, it wasn't much but enough to encourage him.
Wait what was she doing? She shouldn't be doing this. Her friends were waiting outside for her. If they came to check up on her... what would she say. How would she explain?
She wanted to stop him, but stopping him meant pushing him away and pushing him away meant touching him and touching him was something she couldn't do. Because if she touched him, life as she knew it would come to an end. She tried to buy some time for her wanting body to come down from the peak of heat.
"Errr... Why talk to him like he is a friend first and then when he kinda gives up and is ready to move on... You go ahead and punch him?" Madhu asked trying to create a distraction.
The movement of her body in reaction to his doing did not go unnoticed. HE was happy that he was able to produce such reactions from her without even touching her yet. Imagine the explosions they would create when they touched. Life as he knew it would end. HE moved forward aching to feel her skin under his lips. Just as he thought that he had found his oasis, he heard he ask him a question.
HE moved back a little. "Really? You want to know that now??" Looking into her big brown doe eyes, he sighed.
"Fine I will tell you...," but when she tried to wriggle away from him, HE pressed closer, "But doesn't mean I can't tell you from right here." HE raised his eyebrow and smiled at her teasingly.
"Well lets see... what was the question? Ahh.. yes... He was highly intoxicated and riled up. I could handle him just fine physically. But in the process I couldn't guarantee your safety. So I had to deal with him differently. I decided to talk him out of it first. And then when you were out of any immediate harm, I decided to teach him a lesson." HE had barely answered, when she popped up with another question. "But what was all that about the girlfriend and best friend stuff?"
"Ohh that... I heard him complaining to his server about his life's problems earlier, you know catching them in the act and all after he was the perfect boyfriend."
"But if you were moved by his sad story, why punch him in the end?" Madhu asked, now curious, forgetting his closeness to her.
"He might forget his actions when he sobers. But the punch, the broken nose, will remind him of his deeds and will lend a hand in keeping him on the right track. He wasn't a bad person, just a sad person who didn't want to be sad anymore. But turning that sadness into anger and revenge wasn't the answer."
Madhu stared at the man in front of her. She was in awe of HIM.
"And now if your game of 20 questions is finished, can we get back to what we were doing?" HE asked, moving forward trying to steal a kiss.
"But.. I am engaged." Madhu said out loud.
"And I have a fiancee. So?" HE countered.
"But I love him and am here with my friends." Madhu claimed.
"So he ain't here right? Then whats the problem? What he don't know won't kill him." He replied.
"Hmmm... actually your right. What he don't know won't kill him. And even if he did find out, what would happen? He would just have to kill you. But you look like you can handle him... with all this muscle power." She said moving her fingers along the length of his arm, teasingly, finally circling her hand around his neck, pulling him forward. Well if you can't beat them... join them!!! Isn't that how the saying goes??
She caught him off-guard and twirled around so fast, pushing him up against the wall and pressing her body up against his, bringing his head down for a kiss.
"I knew it... Didn't I tell you!! *#@% I just knew it..!! *$#%" They pulled apart just as they heard a woman screech out profanities. "Didn't I tell you I saw him come in here earlier?" Abby screamed at Adam, who just kept nodding meekly. "And didn't I say that it had to be him, when that poor guy asked for ice at the bar. Didn't I?" Abby kept screaming into Adam's ear.
Madhu had moved away, far away from Rishab. She sported a guilty look on her face. "And you missy. What did I ask of you? I asked you to spend one evening with me, just like the old times. No boyfriends.. No fiance... Just us... You promised me a girls night out!!! I just wanted to be happy again like before." Abby's voice trailed towards the end.
Madhu looked at her. What? Happy again like before? "What do you mean happy again like before? Before what?" Madhu looked towards Adam to see if he knew anything about this? But he seemed to look as clueless as her.
"Before he came into my life." Abby pointed towards Rishab.
Madhu turned to look at Rishab angrily. Rishab immediately tried clearing the air before he got persecuted for something he didn't do. "What? I didn't do anything. I swear."
"Yes you did. You brought Akash into my life. And now I love him soo much that my heart aches at the thought of him leaving. I didn't even really get to spend some alone time with him. And now he is leavinnnggg... " Abby teared. "And... on top of that Adam is keeping secrets from meee..."
"Ohh.. " Rishab breathed a sigh of relief that he was off the hook and giggled, only to turn it into a cough at Madhu's piercing stare.
"So Akash is leaving huh? He didn't mention anything to me." Rishab stated.
"He didn't really tell me. But I found clues." Abby explained.
"What are you? Nancy Drew?" Adam chuckled, which only earned him a elbow in the stomach from Abby. "Ouuwww.." Adam cried. "Shouldn't your reactions be slow... since I don't know... your drunk."
"My reactions are slow... because I am drunk. But you... your just SLOW!!!" Abby countered.
Adam lunged at Abby. "Slow!! You called me slow?" It was like watching a cat fight. There involved some hair pulling and name calling.
As Rishab watched Madhu separate the two of them, an idea struck him.
"Hey how about we all make a trip to my farmhouse this weekend. Madhu and I have some unfinished business to attend to," winking at Madhu, causing her to turn red at the thought, "You can spend some quality time with Akash and discuss how you guys are going to work out your relationship. And Adam..." Rishab said looking at him, making sure he knew that he had not forgotten what Abby had said earlier. "You have some secrets to reveal there."
