Today it was an episode more of triggering events/situations, I would say...first it triggered Padmini to seek Sultan's help and secondly Madhu's resolve in making RK suffer the heartache and humiliation that he has made her go through, now that seems to be wavering...she is relenting towards him or should I say RK is going all out to reinstate the trust and affection in her for him...
Let me divulge my thoughts on the former part : Herein was the case of "transference"...Padmini's fear and concern for her daughter is understandable as in RK she is seeing another Balraj Choudhary...and she definitely doesn't want her daughter to go through all the she herself has...In her desperation she resorts to the only option that she can think of and that is Sultan...For Sultan is one person who has the courage to stand up against RK...
In the latter it was "self-disclosure" : it's always been in his subconscious but only now RK has become conscious of the feeling of being connected to Madhu in some way of other...it's this very feeling that makes him open up towards her whether he names it hatred, obsession or love...it's Madhu before whom he has always been able to share all his repressed feelings, pain and fears...
All said and done, must say the story of Madhubala has reached a very interesting high-point...from where it can go anywhere...The dice has been set rolling where it will stop, that remains to be seen...
