I agree with you. There was a time when I admired, applauded Padmini's character, in fact found her the most sensible person and the best support for Madhu. Even during the early days of Rishabala marriage, she was the rock for Madhu. I loved her absolutely for giving Madhu that courage, that support to stand against RK and fight him.
But lately she has been coming across as something crazy. It started with the Madhu declaring I'm just like this and will remain a fool like this episode on Holi and then Padmini started supporting her stance of being in the company of Sultan.
No sane mother would agree to her daughter socializing with criminals whatever be the justification. Nothing justifies killing except in dire circumstances. Now, this man's profession is killing, so I find no justification credible - whatever be his childhood stories. Not all orphan children end up as criminals.
What Padmini did yesterday was shocking and unbelievable. Hatsoff to you Padmini, you take away the decision from you adult daughter's hands as if she is as 5-year old?
