the concept was a superstar and an aam ladki and also to show the lives of filmstars i think... there were some problems whn the late actress madhubalas family threatened legal action whn the shows concept was dilipkumar and mb love story... in those days the producer said that the show was a tribute to the film industry and it could have been titled meena kumari etc. in fact ssome old names were shikar, katputli before they decided meiej. so he was clear that it was not about an actress... rest lets wait and watch... if u see even now madhu was unwillingly pushed into the glamour world courtesy rk...but the show did become popular due to madhu rk chemistry and their marriage as the trps in the first two months were quite miserable
