I for one totally get what you are trying to say with 'I cannot find anything to like in MEIEJ these days. '

I share the exact same sentiments
its like I have to dig deep to make sense of what is being shown..to try and justify what is beiing shown
and dig deeper to try and like atleast something

@RK's proposal: as an isolated scene it was alright..Madhubala wanted a public confession and he went a step ahead with proposal..though I would have preferred if it would have been in RK style rather than the cliche route..and if it involved only him and not his minions setting things up..but right now its more of something positive is better than nothing

coming to Sultan's perspective making it look shallow and fake: one of the biggest reason I didnt want Sultan to witness it..especially after they made him realize his love in Dargah..
its disconcerting to see a someone who is so deeply involved with one of the two ( even though it has been one sided) view scenes between the couple..be it their dance or now the proposal..
the whole world may witness it and it wont matter but him witnessing it and his perspective make things disconcerting

PDA in the party, public announcement of her love for her husband, socializing with him as his wife, and now a public confession and proposal..well, if she backs out, uski badnaami nahi hogi? yes, these public confessions are a reply to HIS public humiliations...it's making him look like a fool...ek din insult, doosre din pyar..but that's not related to Madhu's revenge isn't it?

other than that , agree with you, they are ruining him day by day 🤢

Yes, she forced him to do this of course. But so un-nice the whole thing was!
But my concern is for this show, the characters I loved. RK looked like a coarse fool today, particularly because Sultan was sstanding there, noticing every gesture.
And as for badnami, do you htink anyone in this MBverse cares any more?

Madhu's plan... sigh, Madhu's plan! What is it? Thappad at the mandap? Been there, done that.
I'm losing interest. 🥱

I agree
I know it was too filmy n showy. but how our RK is too filmy n too dramebaaz n love him the way he is.and not to forget that it was madhu who wanted him to confess in front of all. guess he wanted to make it really special n big as he was confessing his feelings for the first time n that too in front of all as per madhu's wish.
I feel madhu really liked it but she will take her revenge sooner or later.
N plz don't bother about sultan's perspective he means nothing to me in the show watch this show because of rishbala. feel sullu's cahracter should have ended long ago CVs are really getting on my nerves by streching this character like a rubber.

Well Madhu got what she asked for, she got a very public Proposal of love!
As for RK, even while being showy, he was absolutely adorable! Considering it was the only bearable scene of the episode, it was sweeter than expected!
As for what Sultan was thinking, I couldn't care less, except that he was effectively tongue tied!

Redfox, you nailed it.

Madhu has just told Sultan what she thinks is true love.
Sultan hears her out, falls in love with her even more deeply, goes to the dargah, and comes back to tell her what he feels.

and THEN, he witnesses RK's filmi proposal. One that has been instigated by Madhu. A confession of love that she laid down as a CONDITION for any further contact.
RK is doing what he is being forced to do, albeit in as showy a fashion as he can manage on short notice.

And Sultan watches him, his every grand gesture, every move... flowers, ring, the classic pose, the people of the chawl...
like you say, it was disconcerting. As if RK was being evaluated by a better man and found wanting in every way.

true..
and its hard to see..how he has been reduced to a shadow of himself..
and difficult to digest as well because we know he is capable of so much more...we have seen it before..

That's what Madhu wanted . For RK it could have been more personal , just him & her & the ring . But Madhu wanted him to shout in front of whole world how much he loves her & thats why he had to come up with the mic & huuge poster .

Actually I agree that this way CVs r ruining RK's character . He never has been such puppy dog lover . his love is full of madness , full of junoon 😳 but still , it looked more realistic than a hardcore criminal who kills ppl in random just to earn money without thinking about their families & all going to dargah & then within 10 mins realising his so called "LOVE" & within more 5 minutes coming straight to express his "LOVE" 😳 ! RK's realisation & proposing was much more natural than the abovementioned azooba 😆

She said to publicly confess that he loves her and that's exactly what he did!

@TM you're right, he's stupid. Stupid that he is falling for her tricks! Stupid cuz he thinks that she loves him. You know, I don't think its wrong that rk doesn't trust madhu cuz that's exactly what she is trying to do, break his trust and his heart.

I am also not into pretenses but in this particular case, it was needed. Remember, this is the same spot where he had jilted n insulted her. He can't undo what he did on that fateful night. But this was definitely a good try on his part. Infact, I always wanted him to confess his love for her in the chawl.
I earlier liked him sitting at the chawl gate waiting for her when she went missing earlier.

In RK's case loving her is not enough. Its important to restore her dignity. It was a good way if 'the RK' kneels for Madhu in front of the same audience who saw her being jilted and humiliated.

I don't know what the CVs have planned next. Because they are out to butcher his character so that they can have their way with that bhaibala track. Which we will never accept, come wat may.

And Madhu wanted him to acknowledge his love in front of everyone. So what better way to do it. Do it in RK style with all pomp n show!! In fact I loved what he did.

And on a positive note, it might discourage bhai, who was going to cash on the opportunity by proposing to an emotional broken woman who shared her sob story with him. 😡
