Not much to say about today's episode it was so full of negativity. However one thing was very clear to me...If I don't understand where the story is headed then neither do the CVs. They are sitting on fence trying to make a decision on how to proceed ...but that means all the other characters are floundering too in wake of the aforesaid indecision. The way Madhu's character is getting butchered is nothing short of appalling. Through the entire episode...i did not feel sympathetic with her dillema even once...all her tears got me to say "What a drama queen". RK is the lifeline of Kundras/Bhatias...anything that will hurt him is going to hurt his family just as much...is that too hard for any normal human being to understand. Besides unlike RK , Madhu has been very public with her reactions. I can think of a thousand ways that they could have spun the track with similar results while keeping Madhu's character and dilemma intact. All they needed to do was show that Madhu has decided to give him a chance but she is not able to reconcile with it...she is trying but her heart and mind are at odds...there is self-loathing at her weakness for RK, there is fear and insecurity with regards to the relationship, there is memories of unwedding popping up at uncomfortable times.
It is bad news for any show when the viewers start disliking the leads ...there is a fair number of viewers that hate RK and now we have a fair number of viewers that have written off Madhu. The dialogue about RK's family sealed the deal for me unless she meant that this is her chance to get back in good graces of her MIL and neutralize Dip's venom.
Couple of observations-
1)Madhu can't seem to decide what she wants and how? She never wanted to hurt Radha but felt that she did not have an option.
2)Dips did get through to Radha...she successfully planted the seed of doubt. Radha is hurt but maybe she is even more scared of the outcome if Dips does turn out to be right. Radha has always admired Madhu...in an odd way she has been more supportive of Madhu than RK. She was even ready to send Madhu back when RK forcibly got her so Madhu's behaviour is bound to hurt her. I felt bad for her...her husband is a failure, her eldest son and DIL are wastrels, her second son is difficult and cruel and now her DIL is getting ready to open a world of pain to her.
3)RK is saying that he trusts her but does he? I am not surprised ...that he still doubts Madhu at some intrinsic level
4)Liked the fact that RK tried to get his mother to speak out the truth. I found the reference to poison day very interesting because...Madhu is planning some thing to hurt him and Radha can sense something is wrong but does not know where? I did not get why Madhu kept interupting RK...something about it was very odd and forced.
5)Precap- Is Madhu giving RK a lovetest of trust? Once RK finds out either he will show trust and let it go or when blow up proving he does not trust her. Ofcourse I have a feeling that the game will kick up a notch when Sultan arrives at the party...Rk will be forced to react publically and the society will provide thier take on it. My guess is that the party is at studio partly because it is a theme party and partly because that is how Sultan bypasses the usual security checks in RK mansion.
I am wondering if at any point we will see a public reaction to the drama...one where Madhu will lose. The ladies at the Pooja saw Madhu commit sacrilege...they kept quiet for most part but it was obvious that something was wrong...if Sultan ends up at party and Rk picks a fight with him insinuating that he has something to do with Madhu...it is another black mark for Madhu. I can almost see the guests pitying Radha advising her that maybe she should have looked for a better match for RK. Society's double standards will crucify Madhu for things that they will ignore for RK.
When RK humiliated Madhu in the party ...he managed to do damage control by carrying her out lovingly in his arms from the studio ...the next day. In fact if you start looking back you see that except for the humiliation at Chawl...RK almost always had backup that showed him as good guy in the media. However Madhu has neither the power nor a way to come out looking good after her revenge.
On the other hand maybe we are looking at a true reversal...before it was RK against the world ...now it will be Madhu against the world..
