four slaps..and the pain and humiliation that followed was beyond imagination. It was a physical assult and what we saw in retaliation was both physical and mental.

"what can I do if your wife is dead?" to say this to a man who is still deeply in love with his dead wife and still considers himself somewhat responsible for the mishap is extremely painful. This is a pain which cannot be shared or shown to anyone and it runs deep.
yet the man was magnanimous enough to let it be. Did not hold any grudges for the pain inflicted thus by some one who is a mere acquaintance. Inspite of that he is still concerned for her safety and happiness is something that is seen to be believed.
That was the way it was supposed to be. Sultan to forgive, because he is different, and this simple gesture of "let it be" was enough to showcase this man is made of different mettle altogether.
Love him for what he said and admire him for what he left unsaid.

"How do you manage relationships so well?" this is a very interesting question, who would have thought of Sultan coming from such a messy background will still be so careful about human values and relationships? which even greatest of men on this earth stumbled over??

And why must he interfere? He will because she interfered and barged into his life when he was totally unprepared. She thought she was saving his son from unknown dangers. Laughable as it may seem,Sultan sees himself as the saviour of Madhu to save her from "known"dangers. And it is probably not the saving,it is something else too, but, since he is not sure how can he share that with Madhu?

that is what sultan's character is all bout
n after living with a man like rk madhu is finding it quiet difficult to accept such a strength of character in another man.

Its like Padmini n Shamsher's earlier relationship...which was nameless but yet so pure.

Nina,
You write so well. I love your post.

It is the same writer who writes for both the characters. one character is only about ego, and I, me and myself. the writers have done an amazing job showcasing that. the other one is about man of integrity and respect. They have done a marvelous job showcasing that as well.

one one hand, when the first character expects the mother to ask for forgiveness, and yet again threatens in his sweet demeanor that she better not leave him ( did you hear the ominous background music when he said that?), the other character chooses to forget the bitter words she said the last time, and asks of her well being yet again. He easily forgives, and asks for forgiveness in advance, for he shall butt in whenever he feels she is not OK.

And I think that's what he makes her promise in front of her house.

You have said it very nicely.
It is indeed a pleasure to see the friendship of trust developing between Sultan and MB.
No matter where this relationship is heading it is the pure understanding between them that is so touching and true.

Really liked your post 😊
The foundation of their relationship is solid, it would be seeing as it's based on trust and honesty.
There's a famous saying 'take character over reputation, your character is what you really are whereas your reputation is merely what others think of you' fits with Sultan nicely, he's the least bothered about what people think about him or say about him 😳

Ohh well said padmini. For RK, she is just a "zidd". He doesn't love her. She would have helped her move on. What a strong woman. Madhu is lucky to have a mother like her. Loved padmini today.
