Where there is love, there is pain

It hurts to let go, but sometimes, it hurts more to hold on. Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than to hurt yourself trying to put it back together.

Rishabh Kundra - His hatred can destroy and his love can conquer. He met a girl, a girl he thought was different than any other he had ever met and developed an unknown attraction towards her. But it wasn't love at first sight, it was war at first sight. She wanted to change him, but he wasn't someone who'd step down so easily, not even infront of himself. His experiences in life had made him unbreakable, but they had also made him lose his trust in love and relationships. A past that still haunted him changed him forever. So much that watching other people in misery brought a satisfaction, a smile on his face. But that was something he could never accomplish with her no matter how hard he tried. She was as strong as him. She was his match. Probably the only person who could defeat him in his own game. But he was always one step ahead. Created situations where she had to unwillingly tie the knot with him. They were bound in a relationship that held no meaning or importance in either of their lives. But he had plans. A plan to throw his final blow. The blow called love. And that blow shredded her into pieces beyond repair. He may have won the war and taken his revenge, but he had lost what could be a beautiful relationship. Though what he was unaware of was the invisible bond he had started to develop with her. Emotionally. She had gotten under his skin and he didn't even get a whiff of it. The restlessness on not seeing her anymore, the fury on seeing her with someone else, and the determination to want her back made him realize that during his mission to break her down, he had already fallen in love with her. He once again became the RK he used to be, ruthless, impulsive and heartless. Assuming that she had moved on in her life with another man removed the barrier between his love for her and carried him to the land of obsession. Love was a game he had always lost in, and the fear of losing her turned him into someone she had never wanted him to be. There is a thin line between obsession and love. He seems to have crossed it. And it will not only hurt him, but the woman he loves too. Both physically and emotionally. Obsession can easily destroy the base of love. He needs to let go of her completely to realize the true meaning of love. The more he forces her to stay, the larger the cracks in their relationship will get.

I'm afraid to love, afraid to love so fast, because every time I fall in love, it seems to never last

Madhubala - She loves immensely, without any conditions, and only wishes to be loved the same way. She had never wished for love, but it did knock on her door when she had least expected it. An ordinary girl with ordinary dreams met an extra ordinary man who could easily mold words into an enchanted melody. A melody that she just swayed to despite all the hatred she had bottled up in her for him. Taking a risk, giving love a chance, she took a step towards his heart. A heart that bled no more since turning to stone. She began to live a fantasy with him. Filled with immense love and happiness. Her day began with him and night ended with him. He was her first love and she was everything to him. Or so she thought. One dreadful night changed her life forever. It crushed her world of fantasy and reality bit her hard. He never loved her, he never had, and he might never will. That little bubble of a joyous future together popped the moment he admitted it was all a pretense. But she wasn't someone who'd let anyone get to her that way. She stood up to him with her head held high refusing to step down and decided to live her life once more, just without him this time. The harder she tried to forget him and move on, the faster fate brought him back to cross paths with her. She needed something to hold on to at that point, something that could save her from letting her life slip through her hands. And that happened through a little boy. Stranger as he may be, but gradually she became rather fond of him. He felt like her own. The closest thing she had experienced to happiness after her emotional blow. But that wasn't the same case with the Father of that boy. She was against the way he was bringing up and treating his son with, running into one tiff or another every now and then. But as destiny always does the unexpected, that mysterious guy had unknowingly made his own space in her heart. She may be doing everything out of care and love for the boy, but she had begun to care for that man too. Hoping to finally move on with whatever she had managed to gather up of her life, she crosses paths with her past again. This time, with a new intensity and challenge. Hoping to see him repent for his doings, she gets another emotional blow witnessing the extent he is willing to go to to get her back in his life. But all she really wants is an apology. Her heart still yearns for him, knowing that she can easily be melted under his presence, but she is not ready to give in to him without putting up a fight, fearing that if she accepts him back in her life now, one day he again might betray her and then, she will not be able to hold herself together like she did.

I will never let him have the satisfaction of knowing that I will always be there waiting

Sultan - A man who wants to cherish every relationship in his life, but fears to make it his weakness and give his enemies a chance at destroying him. A man of his words, morals, principles. The way he chose to live his life may be wrong, but just like every other person has a haunted past, his past turned him into someone people dread the most. Taking life is like a piece of cake for him, but he would give his own life in a heartbeat to protect the ones he loves. Being a Father of a loving son, he still kept his distance from him. Trying to teach him to stay strong in case something happened to him. A girl then enters his life and changes it for the better. Makes him take a chance at happiness. Teaches him to become the Father he had always wanted to be. And unknowingly, he develops a relation with her. A relation of trust. He begins to care for her in a way he never thought was possible. What they share cannot be explained in words. They may have gotten to know each other through a little boy, but they have grown past that into two individuals who are ready to trust each other with their lives. He knows she will never harm him, and she knows he will always protect her, even if it is from her legal husband. Love doesn't always have to be romantic, what they share is pure and platonic. He doesn't love her, she doesn't love him, but somewhere in a way, they both care about the welfare of each other. And that is enough for them. No conditions, no desires. Whether or not this leads to love one day is a question that he is unaware of, and she has not even considered yet. But he will not cling to any possibility of a future with her. He has learned to live alone, but now he has his son, and that is enough reason for him to move on.

It's hard to wait around for something you know might never happen, but it's even harder to give up when it's everything you want

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish it's source. It dies of blindness, errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds. It dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing. That is what is left of RK and Madhubala's relationship right now. But it's up to them to decide what exactly it is that they want. His growing insecurity about Madhubala and Sultan might indirectly lead to something he is dreading at the moment. Maybe it's too late for RK to apologize anymore. Maybe Madhu wants to give him a chance, but prefers to move on in life instead. Maybe Sultan wants to give happiness a chance but fears of losing it again. These 3 people are standing at 3 ends of a crossroads. The 4th is their destination. Whether they want to make that journey with someone or alone is yet to be seen. But in order to begin that journey, they need to be alone. If destiny wants them to have a happy ending, their paths will eventually cross each others.

And I love that bit in the end where you mentioned that these three charcters, RK, Madhu and Sultan, are standing at three different crossroads and the fourth is their destination...its up to them too choose whether it will be alone or with someone else...This thought is now imprinted in my mind...and I also love that quote in the last paragraph!!😳😳
