agree with you completely...there was not any love story...It was Madhubala who loved RK...but for RK if was just a trap...a game which he has won...but now he finds it losing after the battle...he is just gone back to win it again...

I applaud the cohesive structure of your argument vena, cause I have been entirely unable to articulate my disgust for that character, or for the incredible vein of sympathy that still runs for him , and only him in this forum!

I am left sputtering incoherently , most when I read how much he 'loves' her . Love? LOVE?! he does not even consider her a human being! If you let go of everything he said to day and just pay attention to his expressions, the man was smirking when Madhu admitted she still loved him! and 'welcome to the jungle'!!

That's love?! Where is it shown that he wants her affection? her warmth? or give her some? affection and warmth! all he wants to do is tame that ferocious wild cat as he loves to call her and the term some people use to show how she's not a victim for she fights back!

I mean, my mind just goes blank with such arguments. So if someone fights against injustice, force, oppression, torture, that concludes they are strong, and ,willing for more, cause that is what would keep their state healthy and their spirits alive. what??

Can they really not understand or feel how debilitating such struggles are. However much she fights back, its not cause she loves to fight! what kind of an inane psychological assessment is that?!

The way she looked at him today, with disbelief, shock, and then pure disgust, isn't that the death knell for their relationship already?

Its not hatred that's corrosive for a relationship, for hatred still needs passion. its healthier. What ends it is disgust. How do you fight that? its a flat feeling, an insidious one, which works so slyly with both emotion and logic(or yeh, its instinctive.). There is no fighting instinct. and I see it on her now..

and when she asks Radhaji, if that is all she should expect and accept from life ?!

Can you believe the stark contrast offered by Sultan and Aaryan! All the hollow, flamboyant ,verbiage of that cold disturbed man, against the tender humility of that man and his son.

They seem like a mirage, after I see Rk abuse Madhu.. make me so desperate that she reaches it, and its not a mirage anymore.

(But yes.. a character driven plot it is, and it might hold too, only if they do not make Madhu relent. I , for one, cannot see them together ever. )

I have absolutely no qualms of this as a story line because it actually is quite engaging to watch the DYNAMIC. But as soon as someone labels it as a love story it makes my blood boil, and exactly for everything you said. He is definitely reaching physical abuse with all that manhandling, and actually TRAPPING her in his house, and now this horrid precap of HANDCUFFING HER?! And bang on! To everything you said. The sheer frustration I feel at this point is not actually in regards to RK, because I KNOW exactly what kind of a character he is, but it's more at the people who view him as a romantic lead! He is NOT romantic, for all the reasons you have articulated and more!

@ the bolded omg I cannot tell you how much I feel pounding my head on my desk when I read things like that in this forum. It's the main reason why I don't post as much as I probably should. Just because she is strong enough to TAKE his BS doesn't mean that she should be handed his absolute incoherent idiocy on a silver platter! There is NO logic in that argument, none at all!

And that bit about disgust, how very true. She is disgusted because he has fallen so low in her eyes that she is disgusted by her own feelings for him, she cannot even conceive of HOW she loved this man! He is no man. He is a disgusting, manipulative and selfish animal. That's the only reasoning for his treatment of her. He seems to have been raised by a pack of wolves.

I actually was like shouting when Madhu said that to Radha Ji. I mean I think that's the first time I have ever come across a female lead saying that in an Indian show. Madhu has vocalized her abuse and is fighting it by doing the exact opposite of what she said. SHE cannot accept that even if to others it is expected. It's not possible for her.

You know what gets me heated? When people claim that Sultan's nobility is fake because he is a gangster. No. Being a gangster is not what he is MADE of, it's just what he is. It is his profession and yes it is a dark one to have but that does not MAKE him a bad person. It doesn't. And the way he is shown as a lighter equation of this show, my god its commendable it really is!
