tilak is for holi celebrations. actually whosoever goes for holi celebrations outside his or her house they put one tilak in the mode of announcement that yes i am ready to play holi. when sultan is at madhu's house he is following the rituals of madhu's family. not for coming from some pooja or temple

sultan may not be his real name ... it must be his official name in the underworld 🤔 ...

(who knows cvs are keeping the door open to later on reveal his identity as an undercover agent , working in the name of sultan to capture goons 😉)

😆 This reminds me of a movie by Rajnikanth where he christened himself as Baasha after his freinds death a👏nd so I guess another mystery for to be solved...😕
