Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon….With the week almost
coming to an end yeh batao how did the episodes this
week treat you???
According to us this has been one of the best weeks in
the show in terms of creativity, performances, drama and
entertainment quotient. Vidya Balan who essayed the
role of Silk in the Blockbuster movie "The Dirty Picture"
said " Filmein sirf teen cheezon ki wajah se chalti hai…
Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment"…..Well if
this holds true for a Film that lasts for approx. 3 Hrs
then by all means the Hindi Television Industry strives
on the same…..Jab tak show entertaining hai public
khush hai…..show hit hai.
The makers had a huge task at their hands this week
with Vivian Dsena who essays the role of Superstar RK
on leave. They had to come up with a script that was
gripping enough to catch hold of the viewers attention
and they did. The new Gangster track clearly started off
on a Parallel Track note….but in the past few weeks,
especially this week the track has been so flawlessly
merged within the show, with the story with the central
lead Madhubala Shamsher Mallik that its impossible to
tag it as a parallel track. It gives you an impression that
" Agar makers ne chaha" toh this track is here to
stay….and we do hope for the same. The creative
content/creativity is lost within days of its introduction
to the show which fortunately does not happen here.
Intact the Sultan-Aaryan-Madhu track has been an
eventful track since day one and with each passing day
it gets all the more interesting. There is ample creativity,
Avinesh, Drashti and Rishi have been giving stellar
performances with every passing day….the episodes have
been full of Drama and entertaining to the fullest.
This week sure had its share of highlights and
highpoint's but most importantly the relationship
dynamics between Sultan and Madhu was explored. If in
the previous weeks the makers concentrated more on
developing a special, unique and strong bond between
Aaryan and Madhu….this time drapes were lifted and
focus was on Sultan and Madhu's relationship
dynamics.
While both Sultan and Madhu are fearless, strong-willed
and strong opinionated who sticks to their beliefs the
way they approach a particular situation, the way they
act in a given circumstance is what makes them what
they are. The interesting part in this newly developing
relation is their point of connection / a thing they have in
common is the betrayal served to either of them by the
people they loved the most, the person they they blindly
trusted and put their faith in at a point of time in their
lives. While in Madhu's case its superstar RK in Sultan's
case it happens to be Aaryan's Mom. We have seen
Madhu and Sultan disagree with each other…but a point
they stumbled upon together happened to be that pain,
that suffering one wishes another person would never
ever endure in their lives. Yet there is a catch
here…..interestingly the way either of them overcame this
heartbreak, this phase in life reflects their personalities.
Sultan vows to never trust anybody in life ever
again….he started training himself to not even trust his
own shadow because according to him "Andhere mein
Saaya bhi saat chod deta hai". The same does apply to
Madhu as well but in a slightly different manner.
According to Madhu never should one trust an outsider
and give him the pleasure of crumbling your world,
crushing your trust and love s a return gift for the
unconditional love and blind faith invested on/in them.
See the difference??? It was really interesting to see
Sultan look at Madhu in stunned silence when the latter
completed his lines on love and trust lost. This actually
adds more scope for them to connect on an emotional
level.
Sultan knows Madhu will never harm him or Aaryan.
When he looks at her, his deep bluish green eyes boring
in to hers as if waiting for her to test the food that she
cooked or served does show lack of trust but can you
blame him? But many of Sultan's actions reaffirms that
he does believe Madhu is a good human being and
acknowledges it……He walks upto Padmini and tells who
he is, about Aaryan"s mother etc probably things he may
not have shared with anyone else just so that Madhu
does not face the wrath of her mother for giving shelter
to Sultan, Aaryan and Kaka in Roma's Room. For a guy
who loses his cool very often, Sultan answers " Ji Nahi
Shukhriya" in the most polite manner possible when
asked if he would like to act in a film as a fighter….just
because she asked him to not lose his cool…..
Sultans reactions to Madhu's actions to hr words and
vice versa is something one should look out for. Here
was a Gangster who was dangerous and ruthless but
nevertheless he was a human who did not believe in
harming an innocent, one who foes not shy away from
apologizing etc which Gangster does that? He can be a
strict, commander in chief like father but was taken
aback when he unwantingly showed the love he had for
his son when he spoke about Aaryan's Polio and how he
was th only person then and the only person now who
stayed by Aaryan and Shall always be. Same goes for
Sultan too he may have never come across someone like
Madhu. She was like any other ordinary girl, yet
extraordinary in her ways. The fact that she went beyond
her ways and reach to help them, sneaking them into the
chawl when they very well knew that Madhu's mom
would be upset if she found out, and the courage and
determination with which she pulled Sultan behind the
truck to save him from the goons though her eyes
showed fear, the way she clutched onto his shirt also
showed how terrified she was yet she took the risk to
save his life was something that literally surprised
Sultan.
Sultan and Madhu are two distinct character so far there
is no romantic angle to their story yet the chemistry they
share when they come together on screen has been
scintillating….. One does not know for sure if the makers
have any romantic angle planned for the duo but what
was shown this past week was scorching enough to ser
the screen ablaze. They did not have the typical eye-
locks, or the trip, fall and catch but when you see unique
and unusual then these things also become a little
outdated right??? But phir bhi the Madhu saving Sultan
by the collar, the damp hair sequence with Madhu's
theme playing in the BG sends out signals that this is
one couple to look out for, after all MB-EIEJ has one of
the most unpredictable lot in their creative team….and
they know what's best for their show more any anyone.
With so much happening, with so much expected to
happen next week with the entry of RK back into the
show it should be interesting to watch which course the
show is going to take hereafter. So stay tuned and keep
watching Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.
