Khushi is not the violent type. But she wants to beat Anjali Jha black and blue, cut her up into small pieces and dispose of her like trash. She is willing to tolerate most things but NOTHING against her baby. The witch made her baby cry and her maternal instinct is demanding satisfaction and destroy her. Yet this very instinct also reigned in her temper, to protect Tara from the venom. Teaching Anjali Jha a lesson can wait.
Carrying a tearful Tara in her arms, they enter their humble abode to witness a fiery discussion between Madhu and RK.
Madhu (hands on her hips): RK I am NOT going out with you! I thought we have already established that we are only working together to find out the blackmailer? Certainly does not mean we are getting back together.
RK (scowling): Dammit biwi! I don't know why you're being so damned stubborn.
Madhu (retorts): I am NOT your biwi!
RK: Legally you're still my wife. So I'll call you Biwi as I damn well please!
Madhu (threatens): Not for long!
Khushi clears her throat to get their attention.
Khushi (puts Tara down): Why are you two bickering?
Madhu (pouts and points at RK): He started it.
RK (rolls his eyes): I am trying to take Madhu out but Ms. Stubborness here is refusing to go.
Tara: Superstar...where are you taking Mima?
RK (hesitant): Well...my little darling...I don't want to ruin the surprise.
Khushi: You may as well spill the beans since Madhu has no interest in going.
RK (sighs): To the new Mr. India set.
Tara: Mima you gots to go. My RK is the new Mr. India. Superstar and daddy took me. Mima you love Mr. India...you gots to go.
Madhu: But babyta...
Tara: No Mima you gots to go. So I won't be sad you didn't meet Mr. India. You gots to meet my RK. He's the best!
Madhu (sighs): Ok babyta. I will go.
RK (smirks): Aahaan.
Madhu (glares at RK): Only for Tara. (Looks closely at Tara' and Khushi's faces): What's wrong? You two look upset.
Tara (eyes fills with tears again): Mima...a mean lady yelled at me and mama. She is bad. (Wailing) She told me daddy doesn't love me because I am bad!
Khushi: She's talking about Anjali Jha. (To Tara) Baby you are not bad and your daddy loves you very much. I agree she said some mean things but baby you shouldn't call someone bad.
RK (furious): Ok...I need all her details. She had the nerve to yell at my munchkin? I am going to kill her!
Madhu (equally furious): Get in line Mr. Rishab Kundra! I am swinging the first punch at that witch. How dare she hurt my babyta?!?
Khushi (signals to them with her eyes to be more circumspect in front of Tara): Calm down you two. I handled her. (Whispers so only RK and Madhu hears her) Let's drop the subject so Tara's no longer upset about it.
Madhu (nods her head in agreement and bends down to hug Tara): Babyta...Mima won't go out tonight. Babyta and Mima will make it a movie night and watch a Ranbir Kapoor's movie.
RK (in agreement): Baby girl your Superstar will also watch a movie with you. (Sighs dramatically) Even if it's Ranbir Kapoor's.
Tara (pulls out of the hug): No mima you gots to go out! Or Tara will feel bad. Ok? You gots to go to Mr. India set. (Orders) Superstar take mima to meet my RK and show her Mr. India set. OK? Mima loves Mr. India.
RK and Madhu: But baby...
Khushi (smiles at them): You heard Her Majesty's order. You two are going out and that's final.
Tara (giggles): Mima wear a pretty dress pretty pretty please. You are going to meet my RK.
Madhu (walking up the stairs, calls back): Yes Your Majesty. Your wish is my command!
As soon as Madhu leaves, a harried Arnav bursts through the front door.
Arnav: Khushi. What's wrong? You sent a text that it's urgent.
Tara runs up to Arnav and hugs his legs tightly.
Tara (in a quivering voice): Daddy you love me don't you?
Arnav (bends down and cups her face): Of course I love you. You're my princess.
Tara (wails): The mean lady said you don't love me! She said bad things to me and mama.
Arnav (confused): Who said that baby? Tell daddy and I will go and straighten out that mean lady. How dare she make my baby cry?!?
Khushi: Well I hope you remember that because the lady in question is none other than your beloved Di.
Arnav stares at Khushi in utter bewilderment.
What the...? Di? Why would Di say anything to Tara and Khushi? How can she? She doesn't even know of Tara's existence! And Di is in Delhi. No this must be some great big misunderstanding.
RK sensing the need for privacy, grabs Tara's hands from Arnav and takes her to the family room.
RK: Baby girl now that you know daddy loves you loads. Give your Superstar ideas on how to win over your mima.
Tara (giggling freely now that she has been reassured): Superstar you need to ask my RK. He knows everything.
Arnav waits for the door to the family room to shut before interrogating Khushi.
Arnav (furious): Khushi what nonsense? Why would Di say anything hurtful to you and Tara? She's not that kind of person! And she's in Delhi for goodness sake! So how would she meet you in person?
Khushi stalks off to her study and waits for Arnav to follow her. Once she hears the door close, she turns around and glares at him.
Khushi (laughs mirthlessly): Mr. Raizada. I am afraid there are a lot of things that you don't know about your dearest Di. She is in Mumbai. Do you know why?
Arnav: She is NOT in Mumbai or else I would know!
Khushi (shakes her head): Open up your eyes Arnav! She has been deceiving you...all of us for a very long time. Your Di is only married to Shyam out of convenience. She has been having an affair with a married man!
Arnav (pins Khushi against the wall and snarls): Shut your damn mouth! Do you know what the hell you are saying?!? You're talking about MY Di! How dare you say she's having an affair and that to with another married man?!? Di is moral and very sweet. She would never do that to another woman! (Shakes Khushi) Di is like a mother to me. She is very important. So don't YOU EVER SAY THAT ABOUT HER AGAIN! Do you UNDERSTAND?
Khushi shakes Arnav's hands off her the shoulders and pushes him away.
Khushi (breathing hard): Mr. Raizada I know how important your Di is to you. More important than your own child! You had no problem believing a snake like Shyam when he lied about me. But you have blind faith and trust in your Di. Ok fair enough...you require proof. (Taking out her iPhone and shows the picture of Anjali kissing Rohan Malhotra) Is this proof enough for you?
Arnav (stares the picture in complete shock for a minute then sputters): NO...NO...NO... Di can't and won't do this. This picture has been photoshopped.
Khushi: Of course. Mr. Raizda I am not surprised that you would think the photo has been edited. You would rather continue to believe that Anjali Jha is a saint even if the truth is right in your damned face!
Arnav (shaking his head): No...no...this is NOT TRUE! Di wouldn't go around kissing her ex-fiance. He broke off the wedding and left. This picture is definitely an edit.
Khushi: Ex-fiance or not, she IS HAVING AN AFFAIR with Rohan. You're being too blind and stupid to see it. (Laughs) She threw a fit demanding to get Shyam back so he can be a coverup for her affair.
Arnav (screams): Shut up! Just shut the hell up! I told YOU THAT THE PICTURE HAS BEEN EDITED! Di's not in this picture!
Khushi: Sorry Mr. Raizada. I am afraid that's not the case. Because I TOOK THIS PICTURE.
Arnav (grabs her shoulders again and shakes her): Dammit! What do you have against Di? Why are you making false accusations against her?!?
Khushi (pushes his hands off): Of course! You would rather blame and accuse ME instead of even thinking that your Di is less than perfect! Let's see if this convinces you.
Khushi plays a recording of the full conversation she, Tara and Anjali had, which she secretly recorded. The phone was hidden in Khushi's purse, so the screen is black. But the voices in the recording are clear and distinct. Arnav pales listening to his Di's clear, unmistakable voice as she spouted venom against his wife and daughter.
Khushi (stopped playing the recording): Go on and say it...I tempered with the recording as well. That cannot possibly your Di. Go on say it! Say you don't believe that your Di hurt your daughter? Go on say that your Di is not a manipulative liar. Say it! (Screams) It's so much easier for you to accuse me of wrongdoings. So why the hell are you silent?!?
Arnav is in a trance. He opens the door and slowly walks out of the study.
Khushi (following him): I know you don't believe me so I don't even know why I am even bothering to tell you. But she's staying at the Oberoi. Just in case you have an inkling of doubt and want to confront her. (Bitterly) Likely not. Apparently you still think I am the **** out to ruin your Darling Di's life.
